Dimapur, August 7 (MExN): Nagaland’s COVID-19 tally rose to 28,551 with the confirmation of 106 new cases on Saturday. One more death was reported from Mon district taking the state’s COVID death toll to 583, a health bulletin said.
Dimapur district recorded the highest number of new cases at 36, followed by Peren (27) and Kohima (15), the bulletin issued by the state Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme. Mokokchung also reported 12 cases, Zunheboto (5), Wokha (4), Tuensang (3), Phek (2), while Mon and Longleng reported 1 case each.
The state now has 1,398 active cases, while 25,757 people have so far recovered from the disease, including 75 in the last 24 hours, and 813 patients have migrated to other states.
The recovery rate among the COVID-19 patients in the state now stands at 90.21 percent while the daily positivity rate stands at 6.17 percent as on August 7.
