Nagaland logs 110 new COVID-19 cases, 5 more deaths

The daily COVID-19 positivity rate in Nagaland was at 7.71% with 110 out of 1,426 samples testing positive on July 27. According to an update from the Health and Family Welfare department, the new cases were detected from Dimapur (49), Kohima (28), Mokokchung (13), Kiphire (4), Longleng (4), Mon (4), Peren (2) Tuensang (2), Wokha (2), Phek (1) and Zunheboto (1). With the detection of the new cases, the total caseload increased to 27,472. The State also reported 42 recoveries, taking the total recovery to 24,835. Meanwhile, 5 more deaths were reported in the last 24 hours from Dimapur (2), Kiphire (1), Mokokchung (1) and Tuensang (1). The death toll in the State as on July 27 was 536, as per the COVID-19 bulletin issued by the department. At present, there are 1,316 active COVID-19 cases in Nagaland, out of which 96 are admitted in the COVID hospitals and 1,172 under home isolation.
