Nagaland logs two new COVID cases, no deaths

Dimapur, August 16 (MExN): Nagaland recorded two new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday from 76 samples tested in the last 24 hours. The cases were detected in Dimapur and Mokokchung district, according to the latest health bulletin issued by the state Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme. On the other hand, eight patients— two from Tuensang and six from Mon, recovered from the infection on Tuesday, taking the tally of recoveries to 33,560. The death toll remained at 771.  As of August 16, the cumulative tally of infections in the state was at 35,873 out of which 29 are active cases. While 18 active cases are asymptomatic, nine have mild symptoms; two are admitted in the ICU, as per the IDSP bulletin.
