
Kohima, May 1 (MExN): Nagaland Members of Parliament (MP) S. Phangnon Konyak and Supongmeren Jamir, as well as the Naga People’s Front (NPF), have extended greetings to the Ao Naga community on the occasion of the Moatsü festival.
Moatsü is a vibrant celebration that reminds all of the importance of preserving culture and traditions, even as the community comes together in merriment, Konyak stated in her message. As the community awaits the fruits of their hard work, the Rajya Sabha MP also conveyed prayers that the Almighty would bless everyone with peace and prosperity.
In his greetings, Jamir highlighted the essence of Moatsü as a time to give thanks for a good harvest and to celebrate the strength of community bonds. As the community celebrates this beautiful tradition, the Lok Sabha MP expressed hope that it would bring happiness to every home, strengthen bonds among people, and inspire peace and unity. He encouraged all to continue honouring and preserving the rich heritage while moving forward together with hope and harmony.
The NPF, in its message, acknowledged the significance of Moatsü as a time-honoured festival marking the completion of agricultural activities and the strengthening of communal ties. Appreciating the Ao community’s role in Nagaland’s socio-cultural and political life, the party urged all to reflect on the ideals of harmony and mutual respect that the festival represents.
The NPF joins the Ao Naga community in celebrating this sacred festival and prays that the Almighty bestows His continued blessings of peace, prosperity, and well-being upon all, it added.
