Nagaland: Newly recognised village under Peren inaugurated

Tening, January 10 (MExN): The inauguration programme of the newly recognised Tening Namsan village was held with Advisor for Water Resources, Namri Nchang as the chief guest on January 9.

Tening Namsan village is located in Tening Circle of Peren district in Nagaland. 

A DIPR report stated that Namri Nchang in his short speech advised the elders and the council members of Tening Namsan to work hand in hand with the Administration and other government functionaries to witness more development activities even in the coming days. He thanked the Nagaland Government led by the Chief Minister for achieving the long awaited dreams of the people of Tening Namsan village. He called on the citizens of the newly recognised village to live in peace.

Earlier, the Advisor upon his arrival, unveiled the monolith which was followed by traditional howling.

Others who spoke at the inaugural programme included Ex-Chairman, TVC, Namkiabui, Secretary, Tening Namsan, Kainia EAC Nsong, Yimkum I Ozukum and Superintending Engineer (Agri), Er Achakbo Newmai. Other highlights of the programme were cultural dance by THYO, special presentation by Winangthone. 

The programme was chaired by Chairman Tening Namsan, Ramga, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Chairman, Tening Village Council, Pelenkeng.
