DoSE informs on free textbooks

Dimapur, January 21 (MExN): The Department of School Education (DoSE) has informed all the Sub-Divisional Education Officers of Nagaland to collect the Free Text Book for 2019 from the Dimapur Godown (Opposite Dimapur Govt. ACRYA golden jubilee

Kohima, January 21 (MExN): A three day long golden jubilee celebration of Angami Christian Revival Youth Association (ACRYA) will take place from January 25 to 27 at D. Khel Ground, Seikhazou, Kohima village. The celebration will be hosted by CRC Kohima village. The speakers of the celebration will include Rev. Neivotso Neikha, Mission Director, North East India CRC, Rev. Neikedozo Paphino, president NCRC and Kelhoulelie Zatsu, traveling pastor Naga Hospital Colony CRC. In view of the forthcoming celebration, a press conference has been convened on January 22 at 4:00 pmat D. Khel Ground.

AR seizes contraband ganja

Dimapur, January 21 (MExN): The Medziphima Battalion of Assam Rifles under aegis of HQ IGAR (North) on January 20 seized a huge cache of contraband drugs (ganja) weighing 80 kgs from an Alto car intercepted on Kohima - Dimapur National Highway (NH 29) near Zubza. The contraband was being transported from Phek to Dimapur. Two people namely Dongopu (24) Siba (23) were apprehended. A press release from Lt Col L Vincent Pattan informed that both individuals along with recovered items were handed over to Zubza Police outpost for further investigation.

Free medical camp at Shamatore

Tuensang, January 21 (MExN): The Shamatore Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted free Medical Camp at Shamatore, Tuensang District on January 8. The medical camp was aimed at providing free medical treatment to local residents of remote areas devoid of requisite medical facilities. A specially constituted medical team under Regimental Medical Officer treated 207 patients including 53 males, 87 females and 67 children, a press release informed. Free medicines were provided to the ailing. Apart from the medical assistance, basic awareness on HIV/AIDS and ill effects of drugs was imparted.

NNC-FGN combined meeting on January 28

Oking, January 21 (MExN): The Federal Government of Nagaland (NNC) has informed that a joint meeting of the Naga National Council (NNC) and the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) will be held on January 28, 10:00m at Transit Peace Camp, Kohima. A press release from Thihü Khamo, Secretary FGN has requested all the Central Authorities, Regional Authorities and high ranking Naga Army officers to attend the meeting positively. It has further requested Midan Peyus, FGN and Regional Presidents, NNC to relay this information to all the Regional Authorities of NNC/FGN to attend the Meeting without fail.

ExPAN meeting on Jan 23

Kohima, January 21 (MExN): A general meeting of all ExPAN members has been convened on January 23, 11:00 am at Japfu Hotel, Kohima. Khongo, President ExPAN and Medokul General Secretary ExPAN have requested members to make it convenient to come for the meeting with any suggestions or agendas.
