AR Zunheboto donates Rs 1 lakh towards CMRF

Zunheboto, October 7 (MExN): Zunheboto Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North), on behalf of all ranks of the unit, handed over Rupees One lakh to the Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto towards contribution to Nagaland Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) on October 3. The contribution was aimed at providing relief and rehabilitation work in the flood and landslide marred areas of Nagaland.  

CEO postpones meeting

Kohima, October 7 (MExN): The Chief Electoral Officer in a notification informed that the proposed meeting with the Nodal Officers of AHoDs and HoDs slated on October 10 at Hotel Japfu, Kohima is being postponed in view of some unavoidable programme of the State Government, according to DIPR. Fresh date shall be intimated later.  

BJP Nagaland condoles demise of Natwar Thakkar

Dimapur, October 7 (MExN): The State Bharatiya Janata Party Unit Nagaland is saddened on the sudden demise of Gandhi Ashram founder Natwar Thakkar, father of Dr Aotoshi who passed away on October 7 at Guwahati. He founded the Nagaland Gandhi Ashram at Chuchuyimlang village in the Mokokchung district of Nagaland and because of his efforts to spread Gandhian philosophy in Nagaland and his social work, he is known as Nagaland’s Gandhi. The BJP Nagaland President, Temjen Imna Along on behalf of the all rank and file of the party extended its profound heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.  

CNTC condole the demise of A Z Jami

Dimapur, October 7 (MExN): The Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) has expressed its deepest condolences on the demise of A Z Jami, senior kilonser of NSCN (IM). A condolence message by Media Cell, CNTC stated that the departure of AZ Jami is a great loss for the Lotha community in particular and Naga people in general at this juncture. He served wholeheartedly throughout his life for the cause of the Naga people and added that he was a very outspoken leader and a prolific writer too. The CNTC will cherish how the deceased leader supported the cause of the CNTC in its formation. The Council also conveyed its sympathy to the bereaved family members and prayed that the Almighty grant them solace in this hour of grief.  

NSCN (R) mourns demise of member

Dimapur, October 7 (MExN): The NSCN (R) has mourned the demise of Late Ihovi Kinny Tatar, s/o Nguhevi Kinny of Sumi-Settsu Village who passed away on October 6 at North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) Shillong. “Late Ihovi was a dedicated National worker who joined the National Service in 2005, and compromised with all comforts of life to stand and fight for the national cause. The sacrifice he rendered for the Nation will be long cherished and remembered,” stated a condolence note from the NSCN (R) MI. It further prayed that the departed soul rest in peace and called upon the Almighty to grant solace to the bereaved family.  

CWSK organizes organic farming prog

Phek, October 7 (MExN): The Charity Welfare Society Khezhakeno (CWSK) organized an Awareness Programme on Organic Farming on October 6 at Phek town with Neilo Koza AFA, Agri. Office, Phek as the resource person. He shared that organic farming is an integrated farming system that strives for sustainability, enhancement of soil fertility & biological diversity. The four basic principles: sustain and enhance health of soil, plant, animal, human, planet as one. He also dwelt on prohibiting synthetic pesticides, antibiotics, chemical fertilizers etc and explained the methods of organic farming, its benefits, advantages and disadvantages of organic farming. The programme will continue till October 10, stated a press release by Ezekiel Koza, Chairman CWSK. The programme was chaired by Veprutso Nyekha, invocation led by Pastor Vichosa and benediction was said by Chikha Koza.
