
SAYO public notice
Kohima, January 29 (MExN): The Southern Angami Youth Organisation (SAYO) has substantiated its prohibitory order for hunting and forest fire within its jurisdiction with effect from February 1. President and General Secretary, SAYO in a press release has informed the public that the organization shall penalize any defaulters who were found hunting or caused forest fire as per Wildlife Protection Act and any legal provision of the land. SAYO shall impose fine as per customary practices against the violators, it added. The public are informed to take notice of prohibition within its jurisdiction.
Kejong Chang condoles
Kohima, January 29 (MExN): Kejong Chang, MLA, Tuensang Sadar-II has condoled the demise of H Chipong Ex-Head GB of Sotokur village and a grandfather of Kihomong EAC, Sotokur who passed away on January 27 after a brief illness. In a condolence message, Chang stated that Chipong was a man of dignity, integrity and God fearing who contributed to the social, educational and religious aspect of the village. In his demise, Sotokur village have lost an oldest man and a fatherly figure and a vacuum created by him would be difficult to fill up, stated the message. He extended heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
Senior NPF Party leader Lutlal passes away
Kohima, January 29 (MExN): Leader of Opposition TR Zeliang has condoled the demise of senior NPF Party leader, Sh Lutkholal Singson (Lutlal), Vice President of 5 Gaspani-II AC who passed away on January 26 from NEIGRIHMS, Shillong after a brief illness. In a condolence message, Zeliang stated that Late Lutkholal Singson, aged 66 years hailed from Sirhima Village under Gaspani-II AC, Dimapur District and was a strong regionalist who served the Naga Peoples’ Front (NPF) in various capacities. “He was an upright, sincere and honest leader and the vacuum caused by his untimely demise will be difficult to fill.” Zeliang extended deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul rest in eternal peace.
PVHSS celebrates 122nd birth anniv of Netaji
Dimapur, January 29 (MExN): Pranab Vidapith Higher Secondary School (PVHSS), Dimapur celebrated the 122nd birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in the Pranab Jubilee Auditorium on January 23. The school stated in a press release that the students of PVHSS began the programme with the universal peace prayer followed by the garlanding to the portrait of Netaji by Vice-Principal, Ashok Kumar Ray and other senior assistant teachers.The programme continued with a group song by Mam Sarmistha Mukherjee and group followed by a speech delivered by senior assistant teacher Ranu Purkayastha. It ended with the National Anthem along with the beating of drums by the students of PVHSS.
