Livestock census exercise in Mkg Mokokchung, November 12 (MExN): In connection with the launching of the 20th All India Quinquennial Livestock Census Exercise under the Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairy, Fisheries and Farmers’ Welfare by the government of India, Livestock Census Exercise in Mokokchung District will be starting from this week onwards. In this regard, Chief AH & Veterinary Officer, Mokokchung Dr BM Sunep has requested all the village councils, town councils and the citizens of the district to extend co-operation as and when the Department staff and officers comes to their villages/towns for the Livestock Census Exercise.   DBS greets on Chhath Mahaparv Dimapur, November 12 (MExN): Advocate KK Paul, President on behalf of Dimapur Bangali Samaj (DBS) has conveyed greetings to all the devotees on the occasion of Chhath Mahaparv. “May Chhathi Maiya and the Sun keep a benevolent eye upon all of us,” he added.   ENDBU 1st biannual session at Tuensang Tuensang, November 12 (MExN): The 1st biannual session of the Eastern Nagaland Dobashis Union (ENDBU) will be held on November 23 at CKS Hall Tuensang. The session will be graced by Minister for Health & Family Welfare Nagaland, S Pangnyu Phom as special guest and Deputy Commissioner Tuensang L Jamithung Lotha as resource person. Therefore, the ENDBU has requested all the concerned members to attend the session without fail.   AR apprehends 2 NSCN (K) cadres Kohima, November 12 (MExN): The Kohima Battalion of Assam Rifles and 164 Bn TA (NAGA) under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) apprehended an NSCN (K) cadre Avika Achumi (34) on November 10 near TCP Junction, Kohima. A follow up operation was carried out by Kohima Battalion leading to apprehension of Alo Rengma of NSCN (K). The two apprehended cadres along with recovered items were handed over to OC, South Police Station, Kohima for further investigation, a press release from Lt Col L Vincent Patton, PRO, HQ IGAR informed.   ENSF condoles demise of Late Yamukam Dimapur, November 12 (MExN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has expressed heartfelt condolences on the sudden demise of former Minister Late K Yamukam, who passed away on November 9. A condolence message from the ENSF President, Sepili L Sangtam stated that the federation with profound sadness recalled his pursuance, tireless effort and sacrifice for the cause of Eastern Nagas and Nagas in general and his spirit of unwavering resistance to bring the Nagas to light. It further sought solace for the great soul and prayed that the Almighty transform grief into a source of strength for the bereaved family members.   NMBOA mourns demise of member Dimapur, November 12 (MExN): The New Market Business Owners' Association (NMBOA) has expressed sadness over the demise of Tunu Sarkar, proprietor, Hari Store and treasurer, NMBOA who expired on November 8. In a condolence message, NMBOA remembered him as a ‘sincere and dedicated staff’ who rendered his tireless service to the Association for the welfare of business community in New Market. The association further extended condolence to the family.   NSCN (IM) condoles Dimapur, November 12 (MExN): The Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN) has mourned the death of Sergeant (L) Lhoching Khapudang who died of cardiac arrest on November 11 at Hau village, Dimapur. In a condolence message, the GPRN stated that the deceased served the nation wholeheartedly and his sacrifices will be cherished and conveyed its condolence to the bereaved family.
