Appeal to observe Naga National Martyr's Day
Dimapur, October 14 (MExN): The Naga National Council Parent body appeal to one and all in the Naga Homeland to observe the Naga National Martyr's Day of October 18 in remembrance of the sacrificial deeds of the Martyrs for the Naga freedom of sovereignty. NNC Information & Publicity Wing in a press release said that this is the sacred day of the Martyr's of the Naga Nation. Therefore the Naga people and the national workers in particular should remember and observe the day in solemn prayer to our living God for His blessing for the day and freedom of Naga people. The NNC directed all the regional council in the Naga Homeland to observe the day with prayer and petition to God Almighty.
PGC IGNOU-Study Centre Induction Prog held
Phek, October 14 (MExN): The Phek Government College IGNOU-Study Centre (SC) conducted its 3rd Induction Programme for July session on October 13 with Dr. T. Iralu, Regional Director (RD), IGNOU-Kohima as the resource person. Speaking on the occasion Dr. T. Iraluhig hlighted on the various programmes and courses offer under IGNOU-SC and gave an in-depth detail explanation and demonstration on various course of study. The session was chaired by Dr. Thejotalu Nienu, Assistant Co-ordinator IGNOU and the welcome address was delivered by B. Venuh, Principal- Phek Government College. The session was concluded with words of gratitude by Shekhohu Chizo, Co-ordinator IGNOU-SC, Phek.
State level Kala Utsav celebration in Kohima
Kohima, October 14 (MExN): The 3rd state level Kala Utsav celebration and competitions on the Living Traditions of Arts under the theme “ Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat” will take place on October 17 at Dr. Neilhouzii Kire GHSS, Seikhazou Kohima at 10:30 AM. Neposo Theluo, secretary, department of school education will grace the occasion as the chief guest. The function will be chaired by Visiezolie Yashii, Joint Mission Director, RMSA while welcome address will be delivered by Limawabang Aier, State Mission Director, RMSA & State Nodal Officer, Kala Utsav. Brief introduction to Kala Utsav will be given by Timothy Thong, deputy mission director & state programme coordinator Kala Utsav.
CMA condoles
Kohima, October 14 (MExN): The Chakhesang Mothers' Association (CMA) has expressed grief over the untimely demise of Er Dikhrolo Mero, Retd, Engineer-in-Chief of NPWD. CMA President, Zaposhelü Venuh in a press release said that late. Mero was a man who has great concerned towards the community and had deep concern for the problems of womenfolk specially the mothers. The CMA prayed that God the Almighty grant the bereaved family members with comfort and solace in this time of hard moment and further prayed that the departed soul rest in eternal home.
