JLF consultative meet

Kohima, October 2 (MExN): The Speaker-in-Charge, Sharingain Longkumer has convened a consultative meeting of the Joint Legislators' Forum (JLF) on Naga Political Issue with all the members of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) and both the Members of the Parliament (MP) from Nagaland on October 4, 5:00 pm at Rhododendron Hall, Police Complex, Chümoukedima Dimapur to discuss matters pertaining to the Naga Political Issue. All the members of the 13th NLA including both the MPs are requested to kindly attend the meeting positively.

 

RCN Election Commission notifies

Dimapur, October 2 (MExN): The Election Commission of Rongmei Council Nagaland (RCN) informed that for the RCN election scheduled on October 11, it has received lists of members for Electoral College and Executive Body. Accordingly, Commissioner G Namgai, in a press release stated that filing of nomination will start from October 3 to 8. Scrutiny will be held on October 9 and withdrawal date will be on October 10. This instruction shall be brought to the notice of all concerned for its strict compliance, it added.

 

NSCN/GPRN (R) discharges one

Dimapur, October 2 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (R) through MIP today issued 'Discharge Order' (on medical ground) of Joseph Sumi (Sectional Officer), son of Shihovi Sumi, and a resident of Model Colony. Purana Bazar, Dimapur. The NSCN acknowledged the service rendered by Joseph for the common Naga cause, and also recognized and appreciated the dedication, zeal and contribution offered by Joseph and wished him the best of everything, in his future endeavors.

 

CPO observes ‘Day of Covenant and National Repentance’

Kohima, October 2 (MExN): Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) observed ‘Chakhesang Day of Covenant and National Repentance’ on September 30. Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) extended deep appreciation to one and all irrespective of denomination/church affiliations for sincerely expressing their dedication and commitment to “our Covenant with God by observing 30th September with prayers and fasting.” “We firmly belief and uphold that such occasion is the need of the hour where our land is yearning for peaceful solution,” stated CPO publicity & information secretary Vipanyi Krome. “Your prayers and support be a healing to every one of us and be a blessing and guide to all our leaders working at different level under various capacity in our land,” he added.
