DC Mkg notifies on removal of utilities within compensated area

Mokokchung, October 4 (MExN): Pursuant upon the construction of 2 lane with paved shoulder from 168.000 to 183.783 km (Yisemeyong to Unger) from Mokokchung to Tuli Section of NH-16 (New NH-2) under EPC mode in the state of Nagaland, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Rajesh Soundararajan has notified to all the public, individuals, group, societies, departments, institutions etc to shift or remove all utilities and structure within the compensated land/area immediately. Further it informed that department will not be held responsible for any damage or loss in the compensated land/area during execution of work.

 

WCSU bans fund raise & voluntary donations 

Wokha, October 4 (MExN): Wokha Circle Students' Union (WCSU) as per the union resolution has banned selling of badges, ticket calendar and any sort of donation within Wokha jurisdiction by any NGO, union and individual without prior permission from the union. WCSU in a press release issued by its union president C Longshithung Lotha and general secretary Jonjibemo Tsopoe stated that there are many such organizations of which the shop keepers and the general public of Wokha were facing untold problems. The union therefore, seek co-operation from the district administration and police to check to help assist in checking such unwanted donations and fund raise. If any organizations found violating the union’s resolution will be fined and stern action taken upon them. It also appealed to all concerned citizens to extend full co-operation.

 

NPF Minority Wing, DBSU extend Durga Puja greetings

Dimapur, October 4 (MExN): The NPF Minority Wing (Central) today extended warm greetings to Hindu brothers and sisters of Nagaland and neighboring areas on the occasion of Durga Puja, with a prayer to commemorate the festival in a spirit of unity, harmony and peace. According to Hindu traditions, the “Durga Puja festival marks the battle of Goddess Durga with evil, and celebrates her emerging victorious,” stated a press release from President, Minority Wing (NPF), Central. The Dimapur Bengali Students’ Union (DBSU) also extended warm Durga Puja greetings to all the Hindus living in Nagaland and beyond. “May this Puja bring good health, happiness, and prosperity in the life of everyone,” the union stated in their greetings. It also extended greetings to the non-Hindu communities of the state and invited everyone to be a part of the celebration of “good overpowering evil.” May this Puja increase the peace and harmony in the state, it added.

 

TSUD extends condolence to DNSU Prez

Dimapur, October 4 (MExN): The Tenyimi Students' Union Dimapur (TSUD) has mourned the demise of Megozhakho, father of Sedevilie Dahou, President Dimapur Naga Students' Union (DNSU). A condolence message from TSUD read, “A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts, through us, they live on. Your father will always live on through you and all the loved ones he leaves behind.” It extended heartfelt condolences to DNSU President and his family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.

 

NPF mourns demise of Ronseni Kemp

Kohima, October 4 (MExN): The President of Naga People's Front (NPF) Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu and the entire NPF family have mourned the untimely demise of Ronseni Kemp, Secretary NPF Central Office. A condolence message from NPF press bureau stated he was a sincere and dedicated party worker who had immensely contributed in strengthening the party.  He was also a man of principle who stood by his word and never wavered from his commitment for the larger cause of the Naga people, it added. The NPF conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the Almighty God give strength at this hour of sadness. It prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.

 

NCRC, PR Hill Kma Men’s Bible Camp

Kohima, October 4 (MExN): Nagaland Christian Revival Church (NCRC) PR Hill, Kohima will be conducting Men's Bible Camp from October 5 – 8 at Tourist Lodge Kipfüzha, Kigwema under the theme "Prepare for the day of reckoning." Dimapur DPDB meet postponed to Oct 10

Dimapur, October 4 (MExN): The monthly DPDB meeting of Dimapur district for the month of October has been postponed to October 10, 11:00 am at DC conference hall.  Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman, DPDB Kevekha Kevin Zehol in a press release has requested all members to attend.

 

PBCA women convention

Longleng, October 4 (MexN): Phom Baptist Christian Association (BPCA) will be organizing women convention on October 11-13 at PBCA convention hall Longleng, under the theme ‘Phenomenal woman.’ Resource person will be Angbhen, women secretary, PBCA; M Hongla Phom, programme executive directorate general, AIR New Delhi; Dr Wungtei Buchem, vice chancellor, Indian PhD post-doc, the University of Sheffield UK.
