Commissioning of septage management unit today

Kohima, October 15 (MExN): The inauguration cum commissioning of septage management unit will take place at Dzürüzou, Meriema, Kohima on October 16 at 2:00 pm. Urban development & municipal affairs advisor Dr Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire will be the special guest. The function will be chaired by I Himato Zhimomi, principal secretary for urban development and municipal affairs. Kohima Municipal Council administrator Kovi Meyase and Meriema Village Council Chairman Kelhoupralie Whuorie will also speak on the occasion.

CEO notifies on Special Summary Revision of Electoral Roll

Kohima, October 15 (MExN): Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland, Abhijit Sinha, IAS has notified for general information of all concerned that the Election Commission of India has decided to extend the period for completion of Electors Verification Programme (EVP) and accordingly changed the schedule of Special Summary Revision of Electoral Roll, 2020. EVP and other pre-revision activities including rationalization of polling stations to be extended up to November 18; Publication of Integrated draft electoral roll by November 25; Period for filing Claims & Objections from November 25 to December 24; Disposal of Claims & Objections by January 10; Preparation of Supplements by January 17; Final publication of electoral roll On January 20.

Dimapur DC informs on SDRF applicants

Dimapur, October 15 (MExN): Dimapur Deputy Commissioner (DC) & Chairman DDMA, Kevekha Kevin Zehol, NCS has informed concerned State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) applicants under Dimapur District applied through Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home Department Nagaland that the approved beneficiaries list has been displayed in the DDMA Cell of the DC’s office, Dimapur. The relief distribution in Dimapur District for beneficiaries shall commence from October 21 at their respective sub-divisional offices (Dimapur Sadar, Medziphema, Chümoukedima and Niuland) DDMA cell during office hour. Beneficiaries in the approved list have been informed to submit their photocopy of Aadhar Card and 2 (two) recent passport photographs while claiming the relief.

Mokokchung medical board examination 

Mokokchung, October 15 (MExN): Chief Medical Officer Mokokchung, Dr R Chubala Aier in a notification has informed all the departments in Mokokchung district that Medical Board Examination for service confirmation and invalidation for Grade III and Grade IV staff of regular government employees of Mokokchung district will be held on the last week of October. All the Departments are requested to submit the list of staff through the concerned HOD to the Office of Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung on or before October 25. The date, venue and time for the District Medical Board sitting will be notified later. Candidates who fail to submit the list through proper channel will not be examined. 

Dimapur Police arrests three 

Dimapur, October 15 (MExN): In a series of events, Dimapur Police apprehended three persons for extortion and theft on October 14 and 15. A press release from Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police/PRO, Dimapur stated one extortionist - Limathung Tungoe (42 years) of Senjum village, Dimapur was arrested from New Market area. On frisking, 38 numbers of GPRN/NSCN work permit ID card and a cash of Rs 850 was recovered from his possession. In this connection a case has been registered at West Police Station Dimapur. On the same day, one vehicle (Wagon-R) bearing registered no. AS01JC3292, Chasis no. MA3EWDES00D39133, Engine no. K10BN4947845 was seized after it was found abandoned in Burma Camp. An FIR along with the seized vehicle has been lodged at East Police Station for further investigation. On October 15, Dimapur police arrested two persons from Eros Lane Dimapur on charges of stealing money. The two were identified as Mukesh Kumar Singh (40 years) of Chandpared village, Bihar and Chunchun Kumar Sahani (24 years) of Chandparsa village, Bihar. In this connection, a case has been registered at East Police Station Dimapur.
