
ADC Tening notifies for sealing of borders
Tening, May 3 (MExN): Tening Additional Deputy Commissioner Rhosietho Nguori today issued an order for sealing of village borders under Tening Subdivision. All the Village Councils/ Village authorities under the subdivision have been directed to strictly monitor and implement the sealing of borders and to report any unauthorized entry of people in the respective villages, whether from within or outside the state. Failure to do so would invite penalties both the authority and the person entering the village, the DC stated.
Change of guard at LCBA
Wokha, May 3 (MExN): The President of the Lotha Baptist Churches Association (LCBA) has informed that Rev Dr L Tsanso has been appointed as the Executive Secretary, LCBA for the tenure 2020-2025 replacing Rev Nyanchumo Lotha. A press release from the LCBA stated that the appointment was made as per the recommendation of the Search Committee during the LCBA Delegates held in December 2019. Accordingly, a prayer of installation was held on December 8, 2019 and an act of Office Handing and Taking over was administered by the President LBCA on April 30, 2020 at its Headquarter at Mission Compound Vankhosüng, the release stated. Therefore, hereinafter all official correspondence pertaining to the LCBA may now be addressed to and in the name of Rev Dr L Tsanso, the new Executive Secretary, it added.
Mock Drill at Longleng today
Longleng, May 3 (MExN): The Medical Department Longleng under Health and Family Welfare Nagaland will be conducting a COVID-19 ‘Mock Drill’ at the district headquarter Longleng on May 4, 8:00 am onwards. In this regard, the Medical Department through the DIPR, requested the public not to panic during the mock drill as it will be only a review on emergency preparedness plan of the department and to evaluate standard operating procedures of the prevailing COVID-19 situation. Further, it requested line departments such as Police, Fire and Emergency Services, District Administration to co-operate with the Medical Department for a smooth conduct of the said drill.
ENPO condoles
Dimapur, May 3 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organization (ENPO) today has expressed deep sadness over the demise of Yalathong, former DB of Pungro town and father of ENPO Secretary Y Makhezo, who passed away on May 1. “Though it may be difficult to bear the loss of a beloved father, yet God saw him needed rest and took him away to be with him forever,” the ENPO stated in a condolence message. Further, the ENPO extended condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
