Landslides cut off roads in Chessore; CAPF appeals for help

Tuensang, May 12 (MExN): Chessore Area Public Forum (CAPF) has appealed to the authority concerned for immediate restoration of the roads blocked by landslides in the area. A statement from CAPF acting president, C Throngso and general secretary, Kiumukam informed that the recent incessant rainfall has caused major landslides cutting road connectivity to Chessore via Tuensang (Helipong road), Shamator and Chessore via Aghanato. This has “greatly affected” the lives of the people in the area, it added. The Forum implored the authority to immediately redress the problem.  

NSCN (IM) recovers bike

Dimapur, May 12 (MExN): The Unified Command Zone-1 team, NSCN (IM) has recovered a motorbike (Hero Achiever) bearing chassis number NBLKC10EPEG01116 and engine number KC10EFEGBO1168. A press release issued by Yetoi Kiba on behalf of Toishe, Investigation Officer has asked the rightful owner to claim the said vehicle by producing genuine documents within five days from the date of this publication. Women Helpline rescues woman

Dimapur, May 12 (MExN): Women Helpline 181 with the help of Women Police Dimapur has rescued a mentally challenged woman aged about 40 years. According to a press release from Centre Administrator Weri-u Mero, she was found loitering in the heart of Dimapur Town. The woman speaks Sumi dialect.
