DC & DEO Longleng informs

Longleng, February 5 (DIPR): The DC & DEO longleng John Tsulise Sangtam has informed to all the heads of the department under the district to report/submit the attached official vehicle of the officials to the DC & DEO Longleng office immediately. Failing which the heads of the department/officer will be individually responsible for any consequences.  

Postal Ballot

The DC & DEO further informed the Government employees of Longleng district on election duty whose name are enrolled in any constituency in any districts within the state of Nagaland desiring to cast their votes through Postal Ballot for the forth coming election are asked to collect Form-12 from felicitation centre, DC office Longleng and submit the filled form on or before February 8 till 4:00 PM. The HoDs are also directed to collect the forms for their respective employees who are on election duty. No application will be entertain after the expiry date.  

Ban on carrying arms

The DC & DEO Longleng John Tsulise Sangtam has banned carrying of Licensed Arms within the district by any individual after the last date for verification and deposition of Arms is over. Any person found/caught carrying of Arms within the district will be seized and the license cancelled thereof. Therefore, the DC & DEO Longleng under Section 144 of the CrPC 1973 has banned carrying of Licensed Arms in the district till the completion of 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly Election process is over.  

RO & ADC Noklak briefs on election code of conduct

Noklak, February 5 (DIPR): Co-ordination meeting was held at Noklak under the Chairmanship of Returning Officer and ADC Noklak, ThsuvisiePhoji on January 31. The chairman briefed about the notification of Election Commission on the Code of Election Conduct and Clean Election. He informed the gathering that 56 and 57 Assembly Constituency nomination will be done at Noklak. He also mentioned about the installation of CCTV camera in the polling stations for the first time. The ADC further asked the political parties to extend cooperation during the election. All polling official unit Presidents, Ward Presidents and Church leaders attended the meeting.  

DC & DEO Peren informs

Peren, February 5 (DIPR): DC & DEO, Peren has in a notification directed all those polling personnel who failed to attend the first round of training, to attend the training scheduled from February 15 to 17 at GHSS, Jalukie at 10:00 am positively. The second round of training for all polling personnel has also been scheduled on February 16 and 17 at GHSS, Jalukie 10:00 am. Stringent action shall be taken against those who willfully fail to attend the aforementioned training, stated the notification.  

2nd phase training in Zbto

Zunheboto, February 5 (DIPR): DC & DEO, Zunheboto, Tridibesh Roy, IAS, has informed all polling personnel that the 2nd phase training programme for the forthcoming General Election to the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly shall be conducted on the dates listed given here: February 12:- Presiding Officers and 1st Polling Officers; February 13:- 2nd Polling Officers and 3rd Polling Officers; and February 14:- 4thPolling Officers. All polling personnel have been directed to attend the training without fail. Stringent disciplinary action will be initiated against the willful absentees.  

24x7 Control Room in Khm

Kohima, February 5 (DIPR): DC & DEO, Kohima has informed that a 24x7 Complaint Monitoring Control Room and Call Centre (0370-2291136) has been set up under Election Expenditure Cell, District Election Office, Kohima. The Control Room was set up in pursuance of Election Commission of India, Compendium of Instructions on Election Expenditure Monitoring October 2017/Document 6 – Edition 3/Part B.6. All concerned has therefore been informed that complaints related to Expenditure and violation of Model Code of Conduct can be registered with the aforementioned cell.  

Election Expenditure Bhandari appraises monitoring committees

Wokha, February 5 (DIPR): The Expenditure Observer of 39 & 40 A/C Jasmeet Singh Dhandra, IRS (C&CE) Punjab held a meeting cum training at the ADC office Bhandari on February 1 with the various teams. The Expenditure Observer appraised the monitoring committees about their duties and made a reference of all election matters. He urged the members to be thorough with their assigned duties.  

Election Expenditure Observer for Pughoboto

Pughoboto, February 5 (DIPR): Expenditure Observer for the 13 Pughoboto A/C for election to the 13 Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Senior Deputy IFA (Integrated Financial Advisor) Northern Command working at Udhampur (Jammu & Kashmir) Dr. Upinderbir Singh IDAS reached Pughoboto HQ on January 31. The Observer is performing his assignment for poll preparedness report for the State General election at ADC office Pughoboto, which is scheduled to held on February 27.  

Medical Board at Wokha

Wokha, February 5 (DIPR): Medical Board for examining Polling Personnel for exemption from election duty in view of the forthcoming 13th State Legislative Assembly Election 2018 has been constituted with ADC Nokchasashi and the chairman with members including Dr. Robin, Dr. Sanan, Dr. Nouneo and Dr. NirethonoThe first Medical Board examination will be held on February 5 at 10:00 am at the Office chamber of ADC, Wokha. This order will be in force till the completion of the election process.

Election Observer holds meeting at Peren

Peren, February 5 (DIPR): The Election Observer for 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2018, Soikhanthang, IRS, Joint Commissioner, Goods Services and Taxes, Bangalore, Government of India on his three days visit held meeting for Election Expenditure Monitoring Cell and Video Surveillance teams for 6th Tening and 7th Peren Assembly Constituency at Old DC's Headquarters, Peren on February 1. Soikhanthang directed to coordinate with various teams and perform their assigned duties with the best in the forthcoming general election as per code of conduct. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Peren Smita Sarangi, IAS.
