Disruption of water supply to Phek town

Phek, May 25 (DIPR): Executive Engineer, PHED, Phek, Er T Imtiakum has informed that the water supply to Phek town Hq. will be disrupted for indefinite period as the main pipeline of 100mm Dia GI Pipes was damaged on May 20 in several locations between Muchuri and Laka source, Ketsapo village by landslides and mudslides due to incessant rainfall. Some locations are inaccessible by vehicles to transport pipes and materials for repairing works due to blockade of road to the damaged site. The Executive Engineer PHED Phek has requested to bear the inconvenience caused until repair work is completed for restoration of normal water supply.  

Excise personnel seize liquor

Dimapur, May 25 (MExN): The Excise personnel under the Superintendent of Excise, Dimapur performing Election Expenditure Monitoring (EEM) duty seized 296 bottles of IMFL at 7th mile, Dimapur on May 25. In this connection one, Apong (22yrs) was arrested and penalized under section 44 of NLTP Act 1989, informed a press release from T Arilong Longkumer, Superintendent of Excise & Prohibition, Dimapur. On the same day, two Rajesh (27yrs) and Vikash (29yrs) were arrested at Dimapur rail gate for illegal sale of country liquor, the release informed. Altogether 665 litres of country liquor was recovered from their possession at west yard area, Dimapur. Accordingly, a case had been registered under the relevant section of the NLTP Act.  

SOSU executive meeting

Dimapur, May 25 (MExN): The Shena Old Students Union (SOSU) has convened its first executive meeting at the residence of Ihokhu Yeptho in Purana Bazaar, Dimapur on May 26 at 10:00 am. Therefore, all executive members are requested to attend the meeting without fail.
