
NSCN (R) informs public Dimapur, May 7 (MExN): Stating that two of its members deserted and defected to the NSCN (IM) recently, the NSCN/GPRN (Reformation) has apprised the general public not to entertain them. A press release from the MIP NSCN (R) identified the “deserters” as Theliinu, Chairman Pochury region, and Thetharu (Thuchachu), Secretary, Pochury Region. The MIP informed the public not to entertain its former members in the name of NSCN (R) on any matter and also not to cooperate toward the deserters under any circumstances “in the larger interest of the Naga Nation and peoples”. AAP Youth Wing to conduct membership drives in Dimapur Dimapur, May 7 (MExN): The Aam Aadmi Party (Youth Wing), Dimapur district mobilising team held a meeting at the residence of Dr. Amos S Longkumer, State Convenor of Aam Aadmi Party, Nagaland on May 6. A press release informed that the team decided to conduct membership drives across the 5 assembly constituencies – Dimapur 1, Dimapur 2, Dimapur 3, Ghaspani 1 and Ghaspani 2 in a strategic manner. Parents’ Day at Govt High School Chetheba Phek, May 7 (MExN): Government High School Chetheba organized Parents’ Day at the school premises under Phek district on May 5 with Muruho Chotso, Phek Deputy Commissioner as the guest speaker. Muruho urged the teachers to be committed in their work, stating the teachers should treat their students as their own child for better growth of the latter. He also exhorted the teachers to be dutiful and work wholeheartedly, informed a press release. Encouraging the students to be hard working, he said to become a successful person one should first seek the kingdom of God. The speaker also stated that those who cannot compete with others become “strike leaders” in the society. In his concluding note, the DC stressed on the importance of government institutions “as they provide not only in educational field but also different societal set ups.” Around 100 parents attended the event which was led by Headmaster, Etsongoi Medeo. Invocation was said by Vesüpra Tetseo, Pastor of Chetheba Town Baptist Church, while special number was presented by the school choir.
