DMC to launch nationwide waste segregation campaign Dimapur, June 3 (MExN): A nationwide waste segregation campaign under Swachh Bharat Mission will be launched on World Environment Day, June 5. DMC will launch the programme (door to door collection of dry and wet waste with segregation at source) with Geoffrey Yaden, Swachh Bharat Ambassador for Dimapur inaugurating it at its office premises at 1:00 pm. DMC Administrator Moa Sangtam in a press release has requested all the chairmen, colony GBs and council members along with concerned committee members under DMC jurisdiction to attend the programme without fail. PBBYO informs on membership fee Dimapur, June 3 (MExN): Purana Bazar ‘B’ Youth Organisation (PBBYO) president, R Elis Lotha has announced that the membership fee collection drive for the year 2017-18 has begun from May. An amount of Rs. 20/- per person will be collected from those above 15 years of age by the respective block representatives, Elis said in a press release. All citizens of the area have been urged to co-operate with the organization so that proper statistical record can be maintained. Biometric enrollment to resume at DC office Mkg Mokokchung, June 3 (DIPR): Sub- Divisional Officer (C), Mokokchung has informed that the Biometric Enrollment will resume from June 5 at the office of Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung. However, due to technical difficulties only 35 Biometrics will be captured in a working day on first come first serve basis. Interested applicants may enter their name on the P.E.C Notice Board before 9:00 AM every morning. Date of Birth (Birth Certificate, Pan Card or HSLC Admit Card AR conduct awareness lecture Dimapur, June 3 (MExN): 32 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters IGAR (N) conducted an awareness lecture at Khushiabill village, Dimapur on May 28. The aim of the interaction was to educate locals and spread awareness on drug abuse and HIV & AIDS, stated a press release from Assam Rifles. The lecture covered topics on implication of drug abuse, reasons for spreading of AIDS and their preventive measures. Around 40 people from Khushiabill and neighbouring villages attended the programme.
