NJCF on National day of prayer
DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 10 (MExN): The Nagaland Joint Christian Forum (NJCF) has urged all churches in Nagaland to consider November 18 & 19 set by the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) as national days for prayers. A press note issued by NJCF vice president Rev Dr N Paphino and secretary Rev Fr GL Khing said the rationale behind this program is to allow people to once more come before God in confession and intercession. It has therefore requested pastors of the local congregation to announce and organize prayer meetings during these two days. The prayer agenda during these two days include prayer for our children, for young people, for parents, for the church, for our leaders, for the present situation, for clean election campaign spearheaded by the church, for unity and oneness and for Naga national political solution, the press note informed.
Phek DPDB approve recast of LADP 2017-18 schemes
PHEK, NOVEMBER 10 (DIPR): The monthly Phek DPDB for the month of November was held at DPDB Conference Hall on November 10 under the chairmanship of Advisor, Higher Education, NBHM and Chairman, DPDB, Phek, Deo Nukhu. During the last meeting minutes, the recast of schemes for LADP 2017 in respect of 17th Chizami and common pool was approved by Chief Minister, Nagaland, Chairman, State Planning Board. After deliberate discussion, the board approved the recast of schemes for LADP 2017-18 in respect of 17thChizami and common pool. Following agendas were approved and forwarded to concerned departments by the board - registration of society in respect of Little Angel Educational Trust, Phek Town, proposal for upgradation of SDO (C), Chizami to ADC HQ and proposal for construction of Tribal Hotels at Meluri HQ. Next DPDB departmental activities presentation will be given by Food & Civil Supplies Department, Industries and Commerce Department and ZNV, Zuketsa.
School Education notifies on G/T Seniority list
KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 10 (DIPR): The Directorate of School Education has, in a press release stated that for preparation of G/T Seniority list, all Graduate Teachers of State, SSA & RMSA will be given one more chance to submit documents from Matric onwards and appointment order to the undersigned before November 17, 2017. The Department has also expressed concern that some associations, group of teachers etc. are collecting documents and money for preparation of seniority list, which, it cautioned is without the consent of the Department and in violation of laid norms. The task of preparing the seniority list rests solely with the Department and in no circumstance; shall the Department take up the list prepared by these associations/groups for consideration, the press release added.
Zunheboto DPDB meeting approves various agenda
ZUNHEBOTO, NOVEMBER 10 (DIPR): The monthly Zunheboto District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of November was held on November 10 at DC's Conference Hall. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto and Vice-Chairman, DPDB, Tridibesh Roy, IAS. At the meeting, various issues were discussed, approved and forwarded to the concerned department for approval. Establishment of Piggery Farm at Ustomi village was approved and forwarded to Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Department. The board also approved and issued 'No Objection Certificate' to Agriculture Department to establish Zunheboto Organic Farmer Cooperative Society to promote organic farming in the district. Registration of Anderson Memorial Trust for promotion of various activities for downtrodden people was also approved during the meeting. As part of 75 years of the establishment of Zunheboto town, the board approved naming of various roads in Zunheboto town after pioneers who founded and donated land for the establishment of Zunheboto town. A power point presentation was also given by Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department. The board also welcomed new members, namely, District Welfare Officer, Aotula, Block Development Officer, Angam, Executive Engineer, I&FC, Huska, Assistant Urban Development Officer, Vizokholie and Assistant Sericulture Officer, T. Mhao Humtsoe.
