CM greets people on 54th statehood day
DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 30 (MExN): Nagaland State Chief Minister, TR Zeliang today extended greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Nagaland’s 54th Statehood Day. “Today, as we celebrate Nagaland Statehood, I appeal to the citizens of Nagaland to join hands to make Nagaland a great and prosperous State,” the CM said in a press note. He further wished every citizen of Nagaland peace and prosperity and hoped that the state would scale new heights.
Tech graduate orgs demand requisition of posts to NPSC
DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 30 (MExN): Seven technical graduate associations have appealed to 16 Nagaland state government departments for sending posts lying vacant or filled through contractual basis (Class I, II and III) to the NPSC for early advertisement, unlike previous years where CTSE exams were delayed for years. A joint statement from the Association of Electronics & Communication Engineers of Nagaland, Association of Mechanical Engineers of Nagaland, Agriculture Students' Association of Nagaland, Civil Engineers Association of Nagaland, Forestry Graduates Association of Nagaland, Graduates Electrical Engineers of Nagaland and Horticulture Graduates of Nagaland demanded that the requisition to the NPSC be sent by November 30. The departments concerned were Power, PWD, Urban Development, RD, New and Renewable Energy, Higher and Technical Education, Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Soil & Water Conservation, Agriculture, IT & Communication, PHED, DTE, Geology & Mining, I&FC, Horticulture and Labour.
Tribe hohos not to attend Dec 4 consultative meet
DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 30 (MExN): Tribe Hohos in Nagaland today informed that as decided on October 31, they would not attend any consultative meeting called by the Government of Nagaland until the Nagaland Legislative Assembly’s Resolution of November 24, 2016 pertaining to the ULB Elections is revoked. A joint statement from the Angami Public Orgainsation (APO) and the Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO), “on behalf of all tribal hohos of Nagaland,” said that, as such “none of the tribal hohos will attend the Nagaland Legislators’ Forum (NLF) Consultative Meeting with the Ex-Parliamentarians and Civil Societies on Naga Political issue at the Regional Centre of Excellence in Music and Performing Arts (RCEMPA), Jotsoma on December 4 at 11:00am.” It may be noted that the meet was convened by the NLA Speaker, Dr Imtiwapang Aier.
