KTBWU meeting today

Kohima, January 27 (DIPR):
The Kohima Town Baptist Women Union (KTBWU) office bearers, advisors and representatives from all the Baptist Churches of Kohima Town will have a meeting at Sangtam Baptist Church, Kohima on January 28 at 1:00  p.m. All the members are requested to attend the meeting without fail.

Power shutdown in Chumu

Dimapur, January 27 (MExN):
There will be a power shutdown of Chumukedima area from 6:00 am to 10:00 am on January 29 and 30 due to upgradation works being carried out at the 66/33/11kV sub-station at Chumukedima. The Superintending Engineer of Dimapur Electrical Circle, Er G Chishi in a press release has requested all the consumers to bear with the department.

Ao Region National Council (N/A) informs

Dimapur, January 27 (MExN):
The Ao Region National Council (N/A) has informed that the acting chairman N Mar Lkr has been released from his post due to health problem. The Council has resolved to appoint T Toshi Imchen, deputy Kilonser cum Chairman, Ao Region NNC (N/A) with immediate effect. I Imti Longchar has been appointed as secretary, Ao Region, NNC (N/A). Ao Region, Dy Kilonser cum chairman, T Toshi Imchen in a press release informed not to entertain anubody other than the newly appointed Chairman for any official matters including tax for this current year.

CM extends Bishu greetings

Kohima, January 27 (DIPR):
The Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio extends greetings on the occasion of Bishu which is celebrated by the Kachari community. The Chief Minister hopes that the festival will be celebrated under a spirit of peace, harmony and brotherhood and that all programmes and functions will be conducted in a successful manner.
                    
Cultural prog on gender equality

Kohima, January 27 (MExN):
The department of Art and Culture, Kohima in collaboration with NEZCC Dimapur is organizing ‘cultural programme on gender equality’ at Surumi Village, Zunheboto on January 29 at 10:00 am. Art and Culture, director Vevo in a press release informed that cultural artiste from all village as well as the neighbouring villages will be participating in the one day programme based mainly on the gender issues.

‘Naga warrior’ dedicated to Raj Bhavan Security

Kohima, January 27 (DIPR):
Chandak A.K., wife of Governor Dr. Ashwani Kumar dedicated the ‘Naga Warrior’ to the Raj Bhavan Security in the presence of staff of Raj Bhavan and their families on January 27 at Raj Bhavan. The Raj Bhavan had recently witnessed some developments and improvements like ‘solar powered cat eye’ from gate I to II done by BRTF free of cost, Naga kitchen below banquet hall and renovation of Durbar Hall stage.  The Naga warrior was sculpted by Robert James from Dimapur while the Naga kitchen was constructed by Tia Ao and Neingusalie Talie. The dedication programme was attended by CRPF, Assam Rifles and special branch.

 

Vehicle stolen from Church premises

Dimapur, January 27 (MExN):
On January 26, unknown persons have stolen a vehicle (Bolero SLX, white) from the premises of Lotha Baptist Church, Dimapur.  The vehicle bearing NL 01C 9189 Ch. No: MA1PS2GAK92H71142Eg. No: GA94BB360 belonging to NBCC was presently attached to the Council’s finance secretary Rev RP Murry.  While reporting about the theft to the DC Dimapur, Rev Murry stated that he was attending the devotional service around 10:15 am to 11:00 am and the vehicle was found missing when he came out after the service was over at 12:00 past. The Reverend has already lodged an FIR in the West Police Station, Dimapur on the same day.  The Reverend has therefore, requested the authority concerned to take necessary action as deem fit for apprehension of the culprit and recover the stolen vehicle.

UUDA prayer and fasting

Dimapur, January 27 (MExN):
Usutomi Union Dimapur Area (UUDA) has informed all its members that there will be prayer and fasting at Burma/Police Fellowship at Heralu Colony on January 31 from 6:00 am onwards. Therefore, all members concerned have been requested to attend the programme without fail.
