Technical Education to conduct counseling Kohima, July 12 (MExN): The Directorate of Technical Education Nagaland will be conducting counseling for interested candidates desiring to pursue undergraduate course in engineering, agriculture and allied courses, nursing and paramedical courses in private institutions/universities admission on July 14 and 15 in the office of the Directorate of Technical Education Nagaland, Kohima. Representative from various Private Technical Institutions and Universities will be participating in the counseling session. Candidates who did not get seat through the State NSEE 2016, JOSAA 2016 and other entrance examinations and are willing to study professional course may attend the counseling and avail the opportunity of interacting with these institutions/universities and take admission in course of studies of their choice. BBBP to launch Sukanya Samriddhi Accounts Kohima, July 12 (MExN): Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) under the State Resource Centre for Women (SRCW) in collaboration with Department of Post is launching the Sukanya Samriddhi Accounts (SSA) drive on July 15, at 11:00 am under the theme ‘Secure our Girl Child’s future.’ Kiyanilie Peseyie, Minister of Social Welfare & Parliamentary Affairs will be the chief guest and the programme is schedule to be held at the Minister’s Office Chamber, New Secretariat Complex, Kohima. It may be mentioned that, the Prime Minister. Narendra Modi had launched the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Scheme and the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana in 2015 to meet the expenses of the Girl child’s higher education. This scheme envisions to secure the future of the girl child by having an insurance policy that can be started when they are 0-10 years and withdrawn when the account matures after 21 years.
