NPCC demands publishing Framework Agreement Kohima, July 16 (MExN): NPCC President, K Therie today stated that the Government of India’s Interlocutor for Naga talks RN Ravi should restrain from insulting the intelligence of the Nagas. “He should be honest and come to the point by publishing the Accord (Framework Agreement),” Therie demanded in a press release. “There is no need to painstakingly explain bit by bit. Nagas can read and write.” He asserted that the political problem is in the blood of each and every Naga’s spirit. “We understand he does not have the authority to finalize any point. GoI should not deliberately delay anymore,” he added.   NSCN (IM) welcomes  eight Mokokchung, July 16 (MExN): The CAO of Ao Region, NSCN (IM), Bendang Aier has welcomed eight persons from GPRN/NSCN who have joined the NSCN (IM) “having realized that NSCN/GPRN (IM) is the right Naga political group to achieve the Naga political aspiration and having the Naga National political principle.” The eight persons are: Moatemsu – Dy. Kilonser; Alemwati – Leacy; Noksen – Razau Peyu; Moaakum – Khapur; Imkong Pongen – Major; Maong – Lieut.; Sungjemkala – 2nd Lieut; Narola – Pt.   DN Metha Colony prohibits movement at night Dimapur, July 16 (MExN): In view of theft of moveable properties in the colony at night, DN Metha Colony has prohibited any kind of movement in the colony from 10:30 pm till 4:30 am. A press release from GB, DN Metha Colony, K Keditsu warned that if anyone is found loitering in and around the colony jurisdiction during the period, severe action will be taken and fine will be imposed for first offence. Repeated offence will result in exile from the colony, the release said.   Dimapur citizens asked not to dump solid waste in drainage Dimapur, July 16 (MExN): Citizens of Dimapur have been directed not to dump solid wastes, plastic bags and polythene bags etc in the drainage, which is meant for flow of water. The Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur in a press release has directed all the colony GBs and ward council chairmen to enforce the order within their respective jurisdictions without fail.   AR conduct lecture on drug abuse Meluri, July 16 (MExN): 46 Assam Rifles conducted a lecture on drug abuse at Government Higher Secondary School, Meluri on July 16. The lecture was delivered by Captain Jai Prakash Yadav, RMO, 46 Assam Rifles. A total of 100 students from class IX to XII attended the lecture.   Ganja seized in Kohima Kohima, July 16 (MExN): Kohima Police personnel manning Peducha check gate recovered 40 kg of contraband ganja from a Maruti 800 bearing registration number NL-08-2107 on July 16 around 10:00 am. SDPO (South)/PRO, Kohima Police in a press release informed that the ganja, neatly packed in 12 small packets, was found concealed inside a secret compartment underneath the rear seat of the vehicle. In this connection, one person identified as Eyiewe Tsuhah (28) was arrested and a regular case vide Sechü (Zubza) P.S Case No. 0019/2016 U/S 20 (b) (C) NDPS Act was registered against him for conducting further investigation, the release added.
