NCSU cautions not to misuse writing pad Kohima, August 30 (MExN): The Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) Head Office, Kohima has cautioned all its members that disciplinary action will be taken against those misusing their writing pad. A press release from KL Setuo Rutsa, Vice-President and Imsünok Jamir, Secretary warned that registration number of the offender will be forwarded to the Engineer-in-Chief, NPWD office for cancellation of the registration. Despite frequent notification to the Registered Class-1 contractors not to misuse their writing pad, the release stated, the Action Committee members while on duty during RMSA Tender on August 30 found that some of the Class-1 contractors had given their writing pad to others, including government employees.   IECYF to conduct surprise checking   Dimapur, August 30 (MExN): Office of the Industrial Estate Colony Youth Forum (IECYF), Dimapur, has informed that the forum will conduct surprise checking in the colony. A press release from Bendang Pongener, President, IECYF stated that there has been regular gathering and partying within the jurisdiction of the colony, especially inside the NIDC complex 1 and 2 till late into the night. The surprise checking has been proposed in this light. “Anybody found in uncompromising situation will be dealt with sternly and fine imposed,” stated the release. The IECYF also directed all the establishments to install bright lights outside their buildings.   KDTODU appeals to check petrol pumps periodically Kohima, August 30 (MExN): While lauding the State Government, District Administration and ACAUT for initiating a drive to check fuel adulteration within Kohima town in July, the Kohima District Truck Owners and Drivers Union (KDTODU) has appealed to the District Administration to check the petrol pumps from time to time so as to avoid adulteration. In a press release, KDTODU President, Khriesalie Usou further urged the authority looking after NH 29 to expedite the road repairing work from Naga Hospital Kohima till Hydro “as the commuters, specially the transporters carrying commodities, are facing lot of difficulties in transporting goods to the public.”
