Global Adult Tobacco Survey from Sept
Dimapur, September 1 (MExN): The Global Adult Tobacco Survey 2016 (GATS -2 India 2016) is starting from September. According to a press release from the Chief Medical Officer Dimapur, the survey will cover all 11 districts of Nagaland. Tobacco prevalence in Dimapur is abnormally high and good data from this survey is going to be crucial for future planning and will benefit Dimapur District. In this regard, the CMO has requested all village councils, schools, health personnel and responsible citizens in Dimapur to cooperate with the survey team.
MGHSS Platinum Jubilee planning committee informs

Phek Govt College organised talk on RTI
Phek, September 1 (MExN): The Seminar and Research Cell of Phek Govt. College, Phek, as part of its monthly inter-departmental seminar, conducted a talk on Right to Information (RTI) on August 26 at the college to sensitise the students and well as teaching staff towards the same. Asst. Prof. in the Dept. of Education, Meyetsolo-o Ritse, was the resource person while Dr. Atoholi Sema, Asst. Prof. acted as the moderator where a lively discussion and interaction was held after the talk.
Wokha District Level Science Seminar held
Wokha, September 1 (MExN): District Level Science Seminar on the topic “Pulse for sustainable food security prospects and challenges” was held on August 24 at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Wokha. Zanathung R Khuvung and Tumchobeni C. Shitiri, both students of Class 9 from Cistus High School Wokha were adjudged first and second respectively and will represent Wokha district in the forthcoming state level science seminar scheduled to be held on September 14 at Ruzhukherie Govt Higher Secondary School Kohima, a press release informed from the Deputy District Education Officer Wokha informed.
Zbto District Level Science Seminar held
Zunheboto, September 1 (MExN): Zunheboto District Level Science Seminar was held on August 30 at Cornerstone Hr Sec School Zunheboto with Shanavas IAS, SDO (Civil) as chief guest. The panel of judge was Zhekheto Awomi DSCO, Sunep Ozukum Lecturer, Government College Zunheboto and Apele PGT, GHSS Zunheboto. The first Prize was bagged by Liuka Jakha of Olympic Hr Sec School and the second Prize was bagged by Iliholi K. Yeptho of Cornerstone Hr Sec School. This was informed in a press release issued by H.
