NPCC General Secretary appointed

Dimapur, January 8 (MExN):
The President of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has appointed Jonathan as NPCC General Secretary with immediate effect. This was stated in a press release issued by NPCC President, S.I.Jamir, MLA and General Secretary (Admn) Medokul Sophie.

TOBU SDPDB meeting held

Tobu, January 8 (DIPR):
The Tobu SDPDB monthly meeting was held on January 6, 2014, in the Conference hall of ADC, chaired by Parliamentary Secretary and Chairman SDPDB, Tobu, Naiba Konyak. He welcomed the gathering at the meeting and also introduced a new member, BDO W. Moba Konyak. Reviewing the last meeting minutes, the board discussed and approved issues relating to Strengthening of Security force at Tobu, Shortage of Medical staff, Immediate posting of EAC Mopong, Creation of Horticulture Department at Tobu, Maintenance of Roads beginning from Tobu and Longleng.

Dispensary at Peshu Village inaugurated

Peshu, January 8 (DIPR):
MLA & Advisor, NEPED, Nagaland Kohima, L. Khumo inaugurated the dispensary sub-centre and unveiled the Monolith at Peshu village on December 28, 2013. While inaugurating the dispensary the Chief Guest lauded the people of Peshu village for completing the building in a befitting manner and called upon the public to make the best use of the facilities provided by the government. He said that every development is for the public and its property are for the public and also requested the department to take care of the public property. After the programme a consultative meeting was held with Peshu village council committee, Thandoun village public and Jejei King Village public at the Peshu village council hall. The programme was chaired by VCC, W.C Khoi. All the VCs, GBs, NGOs, leaders and church of the three villages attended the meet.

Annual Employment Review published

Kohima, January 8 (DIPR):
The Annual Employment Review 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 has been published by the State Employment Market Information Unit of the Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training, Nagaland Kohima. The present employment review, which is the eleventh series, is based on reports collected by the Employment Exchanges in the state through statutory provision under E.E (CNV) Act, 1959 under Employment Market Information (EMI) programme. The Annual Employment Review is expected to be useful to public, policy makers, planners and scholars interested in employment, unemployment, women employment, labour market and skill development.
