Zunheboto, November 7 (MExN):Additional Deputy Commissioner and Electoral Registration Officer Zunheboto, Moakumzuk Tzudir informed that a meeting for Publication of Electoral Rolls in Draft is scheduled on November 9 at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Office of the Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Zunheboto at 10:00 am. All the political parties have been requested to send representatives to the meeting with authorization letter for attendance and collection of the said Electoral Rolls. Further, BLOs of polling stations falling under district Hq are informed to attend the programme.
Kovi Meyase takes charge as ex-officio director of ESD&E
Kohima, November 7 (MExN): In pursuance of Government Notification dated October 6, 2022, Kovi Meyase, NCS, Additional Secretary (L&ESDE) has taken over charge as Ex-Officio Director (HoD) Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Nagaland, Kohima with effect from October 10, 2022. Henceforth, all D.O letters/confidential and other correspondences may address to him by name till further order.
Three minor child abuse: ENWOD affirms not remain silent spectator
Dimapur, November 7 (MExN): The Eastern Naga Women Organisation Dimapur Unit (ENWOD) has condemned the ‘inhuman act committed towards eastern children’ allegedly by Ronika Miachieo and Amos Ezung. ENWOD president, N Langmei Phom in a condemnation note stated that this is not the first time such incident has happened to our eastern children. “So this time, if the law does not take prompt and appropriate action against the culprit, we the women organisation will raise and whatever we can do,” ENWOD affirmed and said ‘a mother organisation can do anything if it hurts deeply.’ It added, “Today we will not remain a silent spectator or only a condemnation view but will act at our best level to deliver justice.”
NSCN/GPRN (Niki) greets on Tokhu Emong
Kohima, November 7 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (Niki) has extended greetings to the Lotha community on the occasion of Tokhu Emong, the post-harvest festival of the Lothas. The MIP of NSCN/GPRN (Niki) in a press note said that Nagas are blessed with rich cultural heritage and festivals like the Tokhu Emong signifies the rich tradition of the Naga people. “As the festival signifies the social bonding and celebration of bountiful harvest, let the Tokhu Emong strengthen bonding among the people and preserve the culture and tradition of the Naga people.The NSCN/GPRN wishes the Lotha community a prosperous year ahead,” it added.
