Lotha bodies stand for delimitation 

Wokha, July 8 (MExN): The Lotha Hoho, frontal organisations and all units of political parties in Wokha district, have ‘unanimously’ resolved to cooperate with the Delimitation Commission and support the implementation process of the Delimitation 2020. According to a press release from the Lotha Hoho on July 8, the decision was taken during a consultative meeting between the organisations on Tuesday.“Anyone acting in any way against this unanimous resolution of the Lotha tribe shall be dealt with sternly. All Lotha organisations and individuals are accordingly directed to comply with this resolution,” the release stated.

 

22 returnees reach Tening sub division

Tening, July 8 (MExN): Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rhosietho Nguori, NCS had informed 22 returnees had reached Tening Sub Division due to COVID- 19 pandemic on July 7. The returnees included seven females and 15 males, 18 from Chennai, three from Delhi and one from Rajasthan.

 

DC Zunheboto notifies

Zunheboto, July 8 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto Peter Lichamo notified that in continuation with the previous orders, circulars and notifications with regards to use of masks and hand sanitizer, face masks are to be worn by everyone at all times, and crowding of people to be avoided while in public places, all shops and business establishments are to mandatorily provide hand sanitizers and washing facilities to all its customers/visitors in respect of which Superintendent of Police Zunheboto, Administrator ZTC and ZCCI have been directed to ensure strict implementation and take appropriate action upon the defaulters.

 

FAC campus declared as Containment Zone

Mokokchung, July 8 (MExN): The Amukloshi Quarantine Centre, Fazi Ali College campus, Chuchuyimpang has been declared as Containment Zone following the confirmation of one positive case of COVID-19 among the returnees at the Amukloshi QC. The DC Mokokchung, Limawabang Jamir on Wednesday stated that the order is issued in the larger interest of public health and safety and as defined in the Standard Operating Procedure issued by the Directorate of health and Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland with immediate effect. 

 

IECYF cautions against rampant disposal of garbage

Dimapur, July 8 (MExN): The Industrial Estate Colony Youth Forum (IECYF) reported that there has been rampant disposal of garbage in its jurisdiction, especially at Tinali junction in front of Titrus building. IECYF President Bendang Pongener in a press release stated that many vehicles reportedly bring the garbage in bags late at night and dispose it at the said area. Therefore, the Forum has warned all concerned that youth volunteers will keep watch round the clock and anyone defaulters caught will be imposed with “heavy fines and identity published in the daily print and electronic media.”

 

Longleng bans import of pigs 

Longleng, July 8 (MExN): In view of the outbreak of ‘African Swine fever’ in the neighbouring states, the Deputy Commissioner Longleng M Shayung Phom has banned imports of pigs to Longleng district from outside the states with immediate effect. The DC Longleng also notified that defaulters will be liable for punishment under section - 188 of the Indian Penal Court and also under relevant sections of the Prevention and Control of Infectious and Contagious Diseases in Animals Act 2009

 

Prohibition of employment of manual scavengers 

Longleng, July 8 (MExN): The Additional Deputy Commissioner & Administrator, Longleng Town Council has issued an order reiterating the prohibition of employment of manual scavengers for cleaning of severs and septic tanks with immediate effect as per the Prohibition of Employment of Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Rules 2013. The contractors are directed to ensure strict compliance to the provisions and rules. “Timely inspection shall be carried out in this regard and defaulters penalized as per relevant provisions of law the order stated,” the ADC added. 

 

Upper Agri colony council new team

Kohima, July 8 (MExN): The Upper Agri Colony, Ward-17, Kohima had a meeting on July 7 last for appointment of new office bearers for Upper Agri Colony Council. The house approved the new council members and urged them to take up their office without any further delay. Chairman-Nilhukhoto Koutsu, Vice-Chairman-Lanutemsu Walling, General Secretary-Yekiyi Kinimi, Joint Secretary- Augustine Zujanbemo Yanthan and Treasurer-Vezhoduyi Thisa.
