Arms seized in Dimapur

Dimapur, August 10 (MExN): The Dimapur Police arrested one Mugha Khulu (37) Razoupeyu NSCN-IM from ISBT area, Purana Bazaar for illegal possession of a country-made .32 pistol. The arrest was made on August 9 and a case has been registered in East Police Station, Dimapur. 

NASU sanitation drive on Aug 13

Kohima, August 10 (MExN): The Northern Angami Students Union (NASU) will be organizing the 3rd annual sanitation drive on August 13 from 6:00 am to 9:00 am with the purpose to foster the practice of cleanliness and waste management by way of ‘learning by doing.’ Volunteers from 20 NASU affiliated units will be commencing the drive covering an area from Mohon Khola, BOC till Sanuorü Bridge, Kohima.  Further the union seeks cooperation and support, while inviting the denizens of Kohima.
 
NLA notifies

Kohima, August 10 (MExN): Commissioner & Secretary, Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat, Dr PJ Anthony has notified in modification of the Bulletin Part-II No. 52 dated 19th February 2021, the following members have been nominated to the Committees of the Assembly for the year 2021-2022, as indicated against their names: Zhaleo Rio- Member and Chairman, Committee on Estimates; Yangseo Sangtam - Member, Rules Committee; and Namri Nchang - Member, House Committee.
            
YRS invites meritorious sports persons for cash award
 
Kohima, August 10 (MExN): The Directorate of Youth Resources and Sports, Nagaland, has invited applications from eligible candidates who won medals under recognized disciplines in the North East Level, National Level and International Level during 2019-20. Eligible candidates have been directed to submit their merit certificates through the concerned association for onward submission to the Directorate office on or before August 31.
