
DC Peren directs property owners
Peren, September 20 (MExN): In exercise of the powers conferred by the Nagaland Land (Requisition and Acquisition) Act 1965, Deputy Commissioner/District Collector Peren, Sentiwapang Aier, NCS has directed all property owners (Private, Governmental and other agencies) who have received compensation under various heads between design Km 126.775 to Km 146.208 (length 19.433 Km) to vacate their land for construction of 2-Laning of Peren-Dimapur Road along the stretch of National Highway 129A within 1(one) month from the date of issue of this order. The DC also mentioned that after the stipulated date National Highway and Infrastructure Development Corporations Limited (NHIDCL) will take possession of the acquired lands for construction of road aforementioned immediately without any further notice.
ENPUD informs federating units
Dimapur, September 20 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland People's union, Dimapur (ENPUD) has informed all its federating units to abstain from attending the proposed Dimapur Tribal Hoho Forum meeting scheduled at 10:00 AM at Tourist Lodge on September 22. “Strict compliance shall be highly appreciated,” stated ENPUD, President, Shahoto Yimchunger and General Secretary, T Yato Konyak in a press release.
Motor Vehicles Commissionerate shifted
Kohima, September 20 (MExN): The Commissionerate of the Motor Vehicles Department has been shifted to the Department office building in the New Capital Complex w.e.f. 01.09.2021.Henceforth, all correspondences to the Department office may be made at the following address: Commissionerate of Motor Vehicles Department, New Capital Complex, Kohima-797004.
Two NSCN (R) cadres arrested
Kohima, September 20 (MExN): Based on a ‘specific input’, Security Forces in a joint operation with State Police apprehended two cadres of NSCN (R) and recovered one point 32 pistol with magazine, one 9mm magazine, 32 live rounds, vehicle tax collection booklets of NSCN (R) and other incriminating documents at Thilixu village, Dimapur. In an update, Lt Col Sumit K Sharma, PRO (Def) Kohima stated that the apprehended individuals along with recovered items have been handed over to Diphupar Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation.
