Restrictions along Changtongya–Longleng road from September 1
Mokokchung, August 24 (MExN): In view of the blasting work for the construction of Two-Lane of Changtongya – Longleng Road from existing Km 0.0 to Km 16.592, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Sashank Pratap Singh has informed that all vehicular movements along the Changtongya – Longleng Road is restricted from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM with effect from September 1 for 30 days. This was informed in a press release issued through the state DIPR on Wednesday.
Mokokchung DC notifies restriction on overloaded vehicles
Mokokchung, August 24 (MExN): Transport of heavy vehicles bearing loads above 10 metric ton (MT) will not be allowed to ply on the Dikhu River Bailey Bridge along the National Highway 202 stretch from Mokokchung to Tuensang. In an order issued through the state DIPR on Wednesday, Mokokchung Deputy Commissioner Shashank Pratap Singh informed that the Bailey bridge is in a dilapidated condition and poses a greater risk of damage if left unchecked. It is observed that many transport/heavy vehicles have been transporting beyond the admissible limit, the DC’s order stated, further cautioning that all transport/heavy vehicles would be allowed to carry only 10 MT along the mentioned stretch. Any truck owners/transport agencies not adhering to this order shall be penalized, the DC cautioned.
EE (PHED) informs Kohima public
Kohima, August 24 (MExN): Water supply within the Kohima Municipal jurisdiction will be interrupted for the next few days, the Executive Engineer (PHED), Kohima Urban Division, Er Supongyanger, informed in a notification on Wednesday. The interruption is due to the maintenance work being carried out at Box Cutting, near Kohima War Cemetery, the EE informed while requesting the general public to bear the inconveniences. The notification also said that the water supply would resume normally after the completion of maintenance work.
