
Mass social work in Kohima on Nov 28
Kohima, November 24 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant has in a circular informed that in view of forthcoming festive seasons, a mass social work will be conducted in Kohima Town on November 28 (Wednesday) from 6:00 am till 9:00 am involving all the district offices in Kohima, Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) and Kohima Chamber of Commerce & Industries (KCCI). The circular asked all the participants to bring necessary tools/items for the social work as per requirement such as Broom, Dust Pans, Dao etc. The Team leaders should ensure that garbage collected is properly disposed off at the KMC dumping site. It also informed that KMC shall initiate Mass Social Work within Colonies/ Wards. ADC Kohima, Rhosietho Nguori shall be overall in charge. For any query, contact 9612581203.
Co-ordination meeting held in Medziphema
Medziphema, November 24 (MExN): Co-ordination meeting consisting of all Medziphema subdivision HoDs, both state and central, was held in the ADC conference Hall, Medziphema on November 24. A DIPR report stated that the meeting held under the chairmanship of ADC Medziphema James Swu deliberated on some of the department land issues, encroaching of government land by the public and measures to combat the land issues faced by the department. The ADC reminded the officers to identify the department land and to should have a precise map. The meeting decided to have a mass social work on November 29 in view of the upcoming Hornbill festival. The VCC and Hd GB informed all the villages along National Highway-29 four-lane stretch social work will be conducted from 6:00 am onward. The chairmanship, therefore requested all government officials and public to clean their own office jurisdiction and village area.
Nagaland to celebrate Constitution Day on Nov 26
Kohima, November 24 (MExN): In alignment with the rest of the nation, Nagaland is set to celebrate Constitution Day on November 26, commemorating the adoption of the Constitution of India. All Administrative Heads of Departments (AHoDs) have been requested to issue instructions for organizing programs in their respective departments on November 26, 2023. As the mentioned date falls on a non-working day, the programmes are to be scheduled at the time of closing of the offices concerned, stated an update from the state IPR. The objective is to celebrate the Constitution of India, during which the Preamble to the Constitution shall be read out. All Heads of Departments (HoDs) have been requested to submit reports on the actions taken to the Home department promptly.`
ZLSU condoles
Peren, November 24 (MExN): The Zeliang Students’ Union has expressed shock and sadness over the untimely demise of Lamhai Students’ Union’s Vice-President Kekiegumbe Ilungheing on November 23 at a private hospital in Dimapur. He was a man of great humility and integrity and demise is an irreparable loss not only to the people of Lamhai but also to the Zeliang community, the union conveyed in a condolence message. “At this time of great sorrow and difficulty, the ZLSU prays to Almighty God to grant solace and comfort to the bereaved family.May the departed soul rest in eternal peace,”
