Disbursement of backlog destitute fund  in Kohima

Kojima, October 6 (MExN): The Angami Women Organisation (AWO) has informed all the Kohima town beneficiaries under the Assistance to Destitute Women, Department of Women Resource Development, Nagaland that other than those having an account in SBI and NSCB, backlog fund for 2019-2020 will be disbursed from AWO KI (Angami Women Organization Building) D block Kohima. For beneficiaries having an account in SBI and NSCB, the fund is already credited to their respective accounts. The schedule for the disbursement is on October 10, 11 and 12 from 11:00am to 3:00pm. The documents required are bank passbook, Aadhaar card and Destitute card.

ADC Satakha informs on traffic movement

Zunheboto, October 6 (MExN): Additional Deputy Commissioner, Satakha in a circular stated that in the interest of public safety and to facilitate the progress of fresh earth cutting works at Ch.94+500 to Ch.95+000 between Satakha and Zunheboto Town and Ch.88.000 to Ch.88.500 between Kilo Old And Yezhimo stream (Chakabama-Zunheboto two-lane road construction), there will be total restriction of vehicular traffic movement from 10.00 pm to 5.00 am till October 10. The restriction is necessitated to facilitate the speedy completion of works in the given locations so that basic public utility services are restored at the earliest and also for the overall safety of the public. The public has been advised to plan the movement along the route accordingly.

African Swine Fever detected in Kohima 

Kohima, October 6 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C, on October 3, issued an order that due to the detection of African Swine Fever (ASF) in various locations of Kohima District, the following areas have been declared as Infected Zones and Surveillance Zones: Infected Zones - Botsa Village (1km Radius of infected premises); and Surveillance Zone - 10 km radius from the infected premises (9 km radius outside the infected zone). The order further issues the following restrictions for strict compliance in the aforementioned locations until further order: Ban on the slaughter of Pigs; Ban on import and export of Pigs and Piglets; Ban on transportation of Pigs and Pork.

DC Kohima on Dimapur-Zhadima AP 154 to AP 199

Kohima, October 6 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner, Kohima Shanavas C IAS has notified for general information that land from Dimapur to Zhadima AP 154 to AP 199: Kohima District-Mengujuma Village to Zhadima Village is required for acquisition for construction of 220 kV D/C Transmission Line under Chief Engineer (T&G) Department of Power, Nagaland. In this connection, the DC duly authorized by the State Government as competent Authority has notified that if any person/party has any claims/objections over the said stretch of land/village areas, the same may be submitted to the office of Deputy Commissioner Kohima within 30-day with effect from the date of publication of this notification.

Dc Kohima on land acquisition at Tsiesema

Kohima, October 6 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C has issued a notification on 28th September 2022 for general information that land measuring 14 Acres/609840 Sqft only at Tsiesema, Kohima District belonging to Mere Clan of Tsiesema Village is required for acquisition/outright purchase for setting up of Wrestling Arena as per boundaries scheduled: N – Road; S - High Court; E - Home Guards; W- Road/ Mere Clan/ Fencing. In this connection and the exercise of the powers conferred by Section 9 (2) of the Nagaland Land Requisition Acquisition Act 1965, the Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C, duly authorized by the State Government as Competent Authority has notified that if any person/party have any claim/objection over the said area, the same may be submitted to this office within thirty days w.e.f the date of issue of this notification.

ADC Niuland notifies on draft e-roll

Niuland, October 6 (MExN): Administrator & Electoral Roll Registration Officer (ERO), Niuland Town Council, T. LemlilaSangtam has notified the public of Niuland Town Council that the Draft E-Roll has been published on October 4 as part of the Intensive Revision of Electoral Roll for Town Council. The Draft E-Roll will be issued to all the nine wards under the Town Council for their reference. Further, the administrator has informed that the period for lodging of Claims & Objections will be opened from October 5-21 through Form 3 (Inclusion of name), Form 4 (objection to the entry of name), or Form 5 (objection to the particulars entered/correction) at the office of the ERO/AERO Niuland Town Council during office hours.  The public has been requested to cooperate and specifically confirm their details in the Draft E-Roll.

Tseminyu: Selection trial for Sepak takraw 

Tseminyu, October 6 (MExN): District Sports Officer, Tseminyu, Zhopovi Zecho has informed that the selection trial for Sepak takraw (Regu Event) for both boys and girls under 14 will be held on October 8 at 11:00 am, Tseminyu Indoor Stadium.  Those aged below 14 years, who are born on or after October 12, 2008 are eligible for the selection trial. Interested players under Tseminyu District have been requested to bring a photocopy of their Aadhaar, Birth certificate, and two passport photos for spot registration. The DSO further informed that selected players will represent Tseminyu District in the upcoming 14th State Level Catch Them Young Tournament 2022 scheduled to start on October 13 and 14 at IG Stadium, Kohima.
