Introductory eetings of NLA Committees on April 28
KOHIMA, April 27 (MExN): Dr Sukhato A. Sema, MLA and Chairman of the Committee on Public Undertakings (COPU), Nagaland Legislative Assembly, has convened the introductory meeting of the newly constituted Committee for 2025–2026. The meeting will be held on April 28 at 11:30 a.m. in the C. Chongshen Committee Room of the Assembly Secretariat, Kohima. The meeting aims to review the unfinished business of the Committee and to formulate the work programme for the year, an official statement said. Separately, Advisor and Chairman of the Committee on Estimates, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Imkong L. Imchen, has convened an introductory-cum-oral evidence meeting of the Committee with government departments. The meeting is scheduled for April 29 from 11 a.m. onwards at the Committee Room of the Assembly Secretariat. Both chairmen have requested all members of their respective committees to make it convenient to attend the meetings as scheduled.
NNC, FGN to observe 35th death anniv of AZ Phizo
KOHIMA, April 27 (MExN): The Naga National Council (NNC) and the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) will observe the 35th death anniversary of A.Z. Phizo, widely regarded as the “Father of the Naga Nation,” on April 30 at Phizo Hill in Kohima. According to a notice issued by the Ministry of Rali Wali of the Federal Government of Nagaland, the commemoration will begin at 7 am.
NNC-PN (Z Royim) informs
DIMAPUR, APRIL 27 (MExN): The Naga National Council - Parent Body (NNC-PB) (Z Royim) has informed that Kilonser Adi Tzudir has been “terminated from active primary membership due to wilful defiance of the Government’s rules (Azha).” “Consequently, no individual or organization should engage in any financial transactions with him. Failure to comply will render the party responsible for clarity,” the press release stated.
