ANSTA Peren Unit demands completion of DIET building by December

Dimapur, August 5 (MExN): The All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) Peren Unit stated that it was dismayed to see the ‘incomplete, neglected’ District Institute of Education Training (DIET) building in Peren district and asked the concerned authority to complete the works by December 2022. In a press release received here on Friday, the Association stated that it had visited the site and seen that “only a quarter of the work has been done.” It said that the building, which was to be completed in 2016, is on the verge of abandonment, and held the concerned authority—top to bottom—accountable for the neglect. “The authority is well versed that the teachers had to go for teachers training to other districts like Kohima and Dimapur for some years and had to face untold hardship,” the Association maintained, while cautioning that it would resort to agitations or legal approach if the government fails to begin works by August and complete it by December this year.
