
Romancing Print 2022 in Kohima
Kohima, August 14 (MExN): The All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) is all set to hold an event titled ‘Romancing Print 2022’ on August 17 at Ura Academy, PR Hill Kohima. The federation will deliberate on the future of printing and how to develop small and medium printing presses. It will be hosted by the Nagaland Master Printers Association (NMPA). AIFMP President, P Chander will be the chief guest while Prof Kamal Chopra and Dibyajyoti Kalita, both past Presidents of AIFMP will be the guest of honour. The programme will be chaired by NMPA General Secretary, Povotso Lohe while welcome address will be delivered by NMPA President Zievinyü Yalietsu. Vote of thanks will be proposed by NMPA Advisor Mhiesiezokho Zinyü. The programme will be followed by sightseeing to Kisama. Meanwhile, NMPA press and media secretary D.B. Kaisii requested all the master printers across Nagaland to attend the programme.
TVSU postpones raffle draw date
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 14 (MExN): The Tammong Village Students’ Union (TVSU) has informed that a raffle draw which was scheduled on August 15 has been postponed to December 16. “It has been done owing to unavoidable circumstances. The union deeply regrets any inconveniences caused upon the concerned individuals,” a press release from the TVSU stated.
AIFFSO observes 80th anniversary of Quit India Movement
Kohima, August 14 (MExN): Along with the rest of the country, the Nagaland state unit of All India Freedom Fighters & Successors Organization (AIFFSO) observed the 80th anniversary of the Quit India Movement at its office, PR Hill Kohima on August 9. The programme commenced with a short prayer by Pusazo, Vice President, AIFFSO Kohima unit. Two minute silence was observed as a mark of respect to freedom fighters who had sacrificed their lives for “our Motherland.” This was stated in a release issued by AIFFSO Nagaland state unit president Zeliezhu Angami and publicity secretary C Chonben Kikon.
Free anti-Rabies vaccination in Kohima
Kohima, August 14 (MExN): In commemoration of the 75th year of India’s Independence, the Veterinary Hospital Kohima under Chief Veterinary Office, Kohima will be organizing a free anti-Rabies vaccination at Veterinary Hospital Kohima premises on August 15 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. All the pet owners have been requested to bring their pets and avail this facility. This was stated in a release issued by Dr Elizabeth Yhome, Veterinary Surgeon, Veterinary Hospital, Kohima.
NSCN (IM) Sumi region resolves
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 14 (MExN): The NSCN (IM), Sumi Region held an emergency meeting on August 12 at Yezami Village, Zunheboto, Nagaland. A press release from the MIP of the NSCN (IM) informed that the meeting “deliberated on the historic Framework Agreement and adopted a strong resolution to stand by the Framework Agreement signed on the August 3, 2015 between the Government of India and the NSCN.”
