KMC directs shops

Kohima, August 6 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has directed all the business establishments/shopkeepers within KMC jurisdiction to whitewash/clean the front side of their respective shop facing the road side on or before August 13 for the forthcoming 75th Independence Day 2021. This was stated in a notice issued by KMC administrator T Lanusenla Longkumer.

KMH Tuensang unit condemns

Tuensang, August 6 (MExN): The Khiamniungan Menyiu Hoikam Tuensang unit (KMHTU) on Friday condemned the alleged molestation of two minor girls at Noklak by former DC Noklak Reny Wilfred. Perpetrators of such heinous crimes cannot be tolerated in a civilized society, the KMHTU stated in a condemnation note appended by its President and General Secretary. KMHTU appealed the law enforcing authority to investigate the case without delay and deliver justice to the victims. It also requested every right thinking citizen not to remain silent but condemn the act. The KMHTU appreciated the Noklak district police for timely action while urging them to leave no stone unturned in the investigation and award the culprit with the most befitting punishment under POCSO Act and IPC.

NSCN (IM) welcomes 25 members from different groups 

Dimapur, August 6 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) on August 6 issued a press statement informing that 25 ‘homecomers’ from different groups have joined its fold. The ‘homecomers’ included 18 members from the NNC/GDRN (NA), 6 from the Khano-led NSCN (K) and one from the NSCN/GPRN.
