
DC Kohima notifies arms license holders
KOHIMA, DECEMBER 20 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Kohima Shanavas C, IAS has informed that because of the ensuing 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly Election, 2023, all Arms License holders of Kohima district are to produce the arms license(s) for verification at the nearest Police Station as per the address given in the Arms License on or before 20th January 2023. Failure to comply will lead to the cancellation of arms license(s) and other penal actions as per the relevant section of law.
Zunheboto DC issues notice
ZUNHEBOTO, DECEMBER 20 (MExN): In view of the forthcoming General Election to Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023, the Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto has informed all concerned arms license holders that all arms shall be deposited to the nearest Police Station on or before January 20, 2023, as per provisions of the Representation of Peoples Act 1951. If anybody is found carrying firearms after January 20, 2023, the arms shall be seized and necessary action will be initiated as per the provision of law, the DC cautioned.
NSF office to remain close till January 6
Kohima, December 20 (MExN): The Naga Students' Federation (NSF) office will remain closed from December 21, 2022 till January 6, 2023. NSF President, Kegwayhun Tep stated in a press release that the closure is due to the festive season. The Federation further extended greetings on the occasion of Christmas and New Year.
