
BJP National Mahila Morcha prez to attend Dimapur meet
DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 6 (MExN): BIP National Mahila Morcha President, Vanathi Srinivasan will be arriving in the State to attend the "North-East Mahila Morcha Zonal Meeting" scheduled to be held in Dimapur on December 8 & 9 respectively. Informing this, BJP Nagaland state media cell said Mahila Morcha delegates from the North-East States such as Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram and Sikkim will be attending the meeting. Vanathi will also hold an interactive session with the women delegates from the North-East States and Women SHGs from Nagaland on December 9. The State Mahila Morcha and Bharatiya Janata Party Nagaland is hosting the meet.
Nagaland Governor urges contribution towards Armed Forces Flag Day Fund
Kohima, December 6 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan today urged all the citizens to contribute generously towards the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund. This would will go a long way in supplementing the efforts of the Government for the welfare of war widows, disabled soldiers, and the Ex-servicemen and serving soldiers-who have been safeguarding the Nation from external aggression and come to the aid of civil authority at the time of natural calamities and disasters, he said. In his message on the occasion of the Armed Forces Flag Day on December 7, Ganesan said that the day is observed throughout the country to honour the martyrs and salute the veterans and the brave. This day is celebrated to enlist public cooperation and support for three basic purposes rehabilitation/ welfare and resettlement of Ex-servicemen and their families and for the welfare of battle casualties in general, he noted. For the battles, they have fought for us, for the glory they have brought to the nation, and to have progress and harmony in the nation, let us salute our Armed Forces on Armed Forces Flag Day, the Governor exhorted.
DMC directs shopkeepers/building owners
DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 6 (MExN): In view of the forthcoming festive season, the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) in a circular has directed all the shopkeepers/commercial building owners under its jurisdiction to make necessary white wash along with paintings of shutters/doors preferably with blue color and also to decorate and illuminate their respective shop/buildings by putting colorful electric bulbs of low energy consumption by December 10. Further, all the shops/business establishment other than workshops and industries has been asked to keep their respective shops open on all Sundays during this festive season.
DC Kohima alerts villages, wards & colonies
KOHIMA, DECEMBER 6 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Kohima has notified all concerned villages, ward Panchayats, and colonies under Kohima Town that the Assam Rifles will conduct small arms firing at the Firing Range Kohima Garrison from December 1-31, 2023. In this connection, residents have been advised not to enter the firing range or allow cattle grazing in the area during this period.
DC issues corrigendum on Dec 7 traffic restriction
KOHIMA, DECEMBER 6 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Kohima has issued a corrigendum stating that in partial modification of the order issued by the Office, the stretch of traffic restriction along the National Highway - 29 on December 7 in view of the Tsütuo Kharu (Gate) Pulling Ceremony should be read as Merhülietsa to Siethogei and not as mentioned earlier.

World AIDS Day observed in Heningkunglwa
PEREN, DECEMBER 6 (MExN): Tribal Farmers Association (TFA-TI), Heningkunglwa in collaboration with DISHA, Peren supported by NSACS observed the World AIDS Day 2023 cum penalty shoot - out at Ngwalwa Village local ground with Selie, president Northern Zeme Council, Peren as special guest. Addressing the gathering, Selie thanked the concern department for organizing such an important programme and for giving awareness on HIV and AIDS in Northern Zeme Area. He also urged all to focus on drugs abuse and alcoholism, since they are more or less the same in paralyzing the society. Earlier, the welcome addressed was delivered by Dileu, President Peren District Veteran Football Association (PDVFA). Significance of World Aids Day was delivered by Anna Hairang Thou who highlighted the gathering about the significance of the day. Dr Keholi Asumi (DTO/DACO Peren) shared on TB and HIV/AIDS and how proper treatment should be taken if a person is tested with TB or HIV/AIDS. Ngauzeulungbe DIS, Peren highlighted how HIV/AIDS is transmitted and how a person should take precaution and also how to protect from getting infected. All together 23 team participated in the penalty – shoot out which was declared open by the special guest. Ntu Brothers FC emerged as the champion of the penalty shot-out.
Inter- denomination crusade underway at DDSC stadium
DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 6 (MExN): Inter- denomination spiritual revival and blessings mega crusade with the theme ' Arise, Shine... As the glory of the Lord is risen upon you' (Isaiah 60:1) marked the Day-2 Crusade at DDSC stadium Dimapur. Samuel Sengupta Pastor, Atmik Jeevan Church, Bagdora was the speaker on the second day of the cursade. He spoke under the theme stating that the word of God is the same but it has different revelation and message for all. He mentioned that God is the only way the truth and the life and it is only through him our life will change completely. During the program, message through song was presented by Crossway Church along with Chanda Sengupta.
Menuotuolie Chielie shared a short testimony on how he was delivered from ‘Satanic worship’ to becoming an Army of Jesus Christ. He shared his experience on how he was under the ‘bondage of satanic worship for 7 years.’ He also mentioned his life changing moments and how God enlighten his life from darkness through her late sister after joining Koinonia Baptist Church. Renthungo Ezung, Pastor, Faith in Action Healing Prayer Centre, Seitheke Basa pronounced the offertory prayer. The program was lead by Zashekho Hibo, Asst Pastor, Koinonia Baptist Church. Samuel Sengupta, Pastor, Atmik Jeevan Church will carry on as the speaker for Thursday’s service.
On the first day of the crusade, Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo, Founder Pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church & Principal, Kohima Bible College was the speaker. Emphasising that Jesus Christ was born unto man and had liberated humanity from all bandages with breakthrough and had given salvation, he decree that the people are now a new and free people in Jesus. During the program, message through song was presented by Koinonia Baptist Church Choir and the 15th NAP IR Mahilla Band, the finalist of India's Got Talent (IGT). The ongoing mega crusade will culminate on December 10. The Organising Committee of the crusade has invited the citizens of Dimapur to join the crusade.
