Kohima Electrical Division to undertake disconnection drive
Kohima, February 16 (MExN): The Kohima Electrical Division will be undertaking a disconnection drive against defaulting consumers of all categories (Government Office, Commercial, Industrial, Domestic, 5PM etc.) without further notice and also all illegal consumers within its jurisdiction. Informing this in a press release, Kohima Electrical Division, Executive Engineer Shiludi Lkr appealed to all the consumers to clear the bills in order to avoid inconvenience. For non-receipt of bill, one may visit the Department's website (www.dopn.gov.in) and in case of any discrepancy in the bill, the concerned consumer is requested to clarify/verify/rectify from the Office of respective SDO(E), he added.
NNC (PB) calls general meeting
Dimapur, February 16 (MExN): The Naga National Council (Parent Body) has called for a general meeting “in the interest of the Naga people and National unity.” NNC (PB) Information & Publicity Wing in a press release said that office is also due to conduct and elect the next term of representatives. While informing the central officials, senior leaders, executive council members, regional representatives, all regional council authorities, Naga Women Federation and all concerned, the central authority has directed all the regional and central set-up to “prepare for the upcoming general meeting of the Naga Homeland.”
Seized IMFL destroyed in Kiphire
Kiphire, February 16 (MExN): As per pre-trial destruction Order U/S 452 CRPC and in connection with a case, the seized IMFL were destroyed at the dumping site some kms away from Kiphire on February 16. A DIPR report stated that the seized items included MC Dowell's Rum (quarter 180 ml each) -336 bottles (b) Royal Stag (quarter 180 ml each) -144 bottles (c) Can Beer (Kingfisher - 500 ml each) - 360 Cans. The task was carried out in the presence of pre-trial destruction committee members Kiphire includes which CJM, SDPO, SDO HQ, EAC, Persecuting Inspector( PI), DPRO, OC/ PS, and Yengkiumong GB Kiphire.
