Republic Day celebration to be live streamed

Kohima, January 24 (MExN): The Home Department has informed that the State Level Function for celebration of the 74th Republic Day being held at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza, Kohima on January 26 (Thursday), will also be live streamed on the MyGovNagaland YouTube Channel from 8:45 am onwards. Interested viewers can watch the event online on YouTube and Facebook by visiting the MyGovNagaland page or by directly clicking on https://youtu.be/0TvEaHmx9E0. Simultaneously the event will be live streamed on DIPR Nagaland YouTube Channel.

DC & DEO Longleng informs on leave

Longleng, January 24 (MExN): In connection with requisitioning of Government employees/staff for election duty the DC & DEO, Longleng Dharam Raj has issued instructions to all the Heads of Offices under the Longleng district for strict compliance. Granting of leave by the Heads to their employees/staff who are requisitioned/drafted for election duty should be avoided with immediate effect. In case of inevitable situations/circumstances, a proper consultant from the DC & DEO should be obtained before granting any leave.

DC & DEO Zunheboto informs

Zunheboto, January 24 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Zunheboto in a notification informed all the concerned that all credit bills and vouchers of expenditure i.e. POL, Refreshment, Stationary, Hire charges of private vehicles, Remuneration of polling parties, and miscellaneous, etc done during the election process, which does not have the Assistant Election Officer's seal and signature won't be accepted during the payment of dues after completion of elections by DEO.

DMC Cleanest Colony award ceremony on Jan 28

Dimapur, January 24 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has informed that the award giving ceremony of DMC Cleanest Colony competition of the year 2022 is scheduled in Town Hall, Dimapur at 2:00 pm on January 28. DMC, administrator, W Manpai Phom in a press release has requested the chairman, president and secretary of the colony council of all the 23 DMC wards to send one representative from each colony; two representatives from Naga Council, DUCCF, DNSU, Naga Women Hoho and GBs’ Union, Dimapur; and one from the sanitation committee of the respective colony to attend the programme. 

Longleng Dist Level Standing Committee constituted 

Longleng, January 24 (MExN): In order to ensure observation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and smooth conduct of the General Election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023, the District Level Standing Committee is constituted with DC & DEO, Longleng as Chairman and Additional Superintendent of Police, EAC HQ Dr Samuel Akho Konyak, DPRO, President, Secretary, Representatives of all political parties, President PPC, PSC, Phomla Hoichem and Assistant Election Officer (AEO), Longleng as its members. The first meet of the committee was held on January 20 at the DC's conference hall.

Nagaland helicopter service requisitioned

Dimapur, January 24 (MExN): The state helicopter service will remain requisitioned on standby w.e.f February 24 to march 3 for the ensuing General Elections to the 14th NLA scheduled on February 27. The NST, General Manager, Er Atovi Kiba Sema in a press release has requested all the travelling passengers to bear with the inconvenience. 

NEI VBS leadership and teachers training prog

Dimapur, January 24 (MExN): The NEI VBS leadership & teachers training programme is scheduled at Life Spring Corner from March 14 to 17. NEI VBS Director, H Hammei Buchemhu in a press release has requested to send children, Sunday school and VBS teachers, pastors, women pastors and those interested to attend the training. The Director has also requested to send “church recommendation” with registration fee and food and lodging fee of Rs 3,500 per head. They are also requested to bring light bedding, Bible, note book etc. The arrival is on March 14 at 11:00 am followed by registration till 2:00 pm and orientation service at 3:00 pm. 

NNC on 77th anniversary

Kohima, January 24 (MExN): The Naga National Council (NNC) Urra Nagaland today informed all the regions of Nagaland to observe 77th Anniversary of NNC formation on February 2 in their respective jurisdiction who are unable to attend the main programme at Kohima. Also all the churches of Nagaland have been appealed to conduct a prayer on that day to safeguard “our Naga Nation.” This was stated in a release issued by NNC joint secretary Acuyi Vadeo.

PBCC youth 44th convention cum music fest from Jan 27

Kohima, January 24 (MExN): The Pesocha Baptist Church Council (PBCC) Khriesarüü Krotho (Youth) will hold its 44th Convention cum Music fest from January 27- 29 at Nerhema village under Kohima district. The event will be under the theme “You are my witness” (Isaiah 43:10) and is being hosted by Nerhema Baptist Church. The speakers for the conference will be Kevilhouleü S. Kehie, Youth Director, Angami Baptist Church Council, Khrienuo Moa, Managing Director, G Rio School, Kohima, Mengusielie Kesiyie, Youth Director, Pesocha Baptist Church Council and Dr Ruokuovilie Sachü, Pastor, Khedi Baptist Church. There will be competitions for Group song competitions and bible recitation among the youth of various churches under Pesocha Baptist Church Council. The convention will also be marked by talent show.
