Deputy CM Patton extends Tsungremmong greetings

DIMAPUR, JULY 31 (MExN): Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton has extended greetings to the Ao community on the occasion of Tsungremmong, a traditional pre-harvest festival. In his message, Patton highlighted the significance of Tsungremmong, which is marked by merry-making, feasting, and a vibrant display of cultural attire. He noted that the festival brings together people of all ages, fostering a sense of community and tradition.

Phoolbari night bazar to be shifted to post office area

Kohima, July 31 (MExN): In pursuance of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) meeting held on 31.10. 2023 and the approval of the verification  report and recommendation of the committee, the Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) today informed  the daily  night bazaar at Phoolbari area will be shifted to Post Office area from August 1, 2024. Therefore, public parking from Classic Gate till NSF office will be restricted from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM to facilitate the daily night bazaar vendors. One way normal traffic will not be hampered, it stated.

DC Mokokchung permits blasting of rock

MOKOKCHUNG, JULY 31 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner (DC), Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji has permitted the UCN Construction Co. Pvt. Ltd. to carry out blasting of hard rocks at certain chainage to clear row for widening of road on July 31, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The road concerned is the existing single lane to intermediate lane road from Mokokchung to Chare via Dikhu in the state of Nagaland. The permission was granted under various terms and conditions.
