ASU informs
Kohima, March 9 (MExN): The Angami Students’ Union (ASU) today gave the final notice to all telecom, internet service providers and other cable operators to remove all cable connections at ASU office building below radio station, Old Minister's Hill, Kohima within 3 days from the day of this publication, “as it is obstructing the construction site.” ASU shall not be held responsible for any damage of properties done after the stipulated time given, according to a notice issued by ASU, General Secretary, Mhalevilie Medoze.
WSH condemns firing incident
Dimapur, March 9 (MExN): The Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) has condemned the reported “firing incident” at the residence of the Lok Sabha MP Tokheho Yepthomi on the night of March 6 at Naharbari, Dimapur. “Such a dastardly act should be condemned by all. The Hoho demands the authorities to thoroughly investigate the matter and book the culprits as per the provisions of the law,” WSH stated in a press release.
NSCN (IM) condoles
Dimapur, March 9 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has mourned the demise of Hriiyu Phimu, Leacy, GPRN, from Songsong village under Shepoumaramth Region, on March 8 due to illness. ‘He joined the Naga national service in the year 2012 and gave his best till the last breath of his life,” MIP, NSCN (IM) stated in a condolence message. “We express heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and it is our prayer that the Almighty God grants them the strength to bear the loss. May the soul of Hriiyu Phimu rest in eternal peace!” it added.
NPP appoints Leader, Chief Whip
Dimapur, March 9 (MExN): The National People's Party (NPP) has appointed Nuklutoshi Longkumer, MLA 22 Aarkakong AC as Leader of the Legislature of NPP and Dr Tseilhoutuo Rhutso, MLA 9 Kohima Town AC as Chief Whip of NPP Nagaland State in the 14 Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023. This was stated in a press release issued by Thomas A Sangma, National General Secretary, Organisation, NPP.
