Power maintenance shutdown on March 8

Dimapur, March 6 (MExN): Power supply to the districts of Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Niuland, and Peren will be affected on March 8 from 5:30 to 8:30 AM. An official notification attributed this to the shutdown of the 132/66/33kV 2x100MVA Nagarjan sub-station for the maintenance of the 132kV bus-bar, switchyard equipment, and power transformers. While acknowledging the inconvenience caused, the power department has also requested cooperation from all during the shutdown period.

DoSE informs on PEN and Aadhaar ID

Kohima, March 6 (MExN): The Directorate of School Education (DoSE), Nagaland has informed to all Head of Schools (both Government & Private) that no students should be denied admission due to non-availability of PEN (Permanent Education Number) and Aadhaar ID. The school authority should sensitize the parents for enrolling their ward in the nearest Aadhaar Enrolment Centre and submit the same to the school once enrolled in Aadhaar which is a mandatory field required for generation of the APAAR ID. Further, for students without PEN, school can admit the student and submit their details to EBRCs as a missed-out student to be uploaded in the UDISE+ portal for generation of their PEN.

GPRN/NSCN (U) UT cautions

Dimapur, March 6 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN (U) Union Territory (UT) has cautioned that individuals “indulging in anti-social elements, demanding tax and operating the unauthorized activities in the name of UT towards business establishment under the jurisdiction of UT” will be seriously viewed. On financial matters, the chairman, Union Territory GPRN/INSCN (U) has appealed the commercial establishments not to entertain any individuals who are not officially assigned by the concerned authority and same should report to the UT office immediately for authentication and clarification. The chairman also informed that the Crime Control Cell (CCC) is allotted to UT within its jurisdiction as demarcated from Purana Bazaar to Chümoukedima and Niuland district. “Therefore, the staffs are directed to work accordingly within the specified area,” it added.

Home Dept informs on car pass for Nagaland Civil Secretariat
Kohima, March 6 (MExN): The Home Department has informed that, as part of efforts to upgrade security at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat, all car pass holders using Gate No.1 may avail the Ultra High Frequency (UHF) tag. The tag can be obtained by filling in the prescribed form available at the Home Department (SAB-A) on or before March 25. The department stated that the UHF-tagged gate pass, which will operate in automatic mode, will be implemented compulsorily from April 1. Vehicles without the UHF tag will be denied entry through Gate No.1, it added.
