Next Dak Adalat on March 11

Kohima, March 8 (MExN): The next Dak Adalat for redressal of public grievance on postal matters will be held on March 11 from 11am in the Chamber of the Superintendent of Post Offices (SPO), Kohima. All complaints/Grievances/Suggestion, if any related to Postal Services for discussion in the Dak Adalat may be sent to the Superintendent of Post Offices, Nagaland Division, Kohima: 797001 or by email at sponagaland@gmail.com on or before March 11, informed a press release from SPO Nagaland.

EE Peren informs public on 33KV transmission line 

Peren, March 8 (MExN): Executive Engineer (EE) Electrical Division, Peren, Er Tsiamchi Ndang has informed that the construction of the 33KV transmission line from DC Complex Peren to Ahthibung Town has been completed and would be test charged on March 10. As the line will be kept charged from March 10, the public must be aware and refrain from going close to the charged transmission line, stated a public notice from the EE. The Transmission line passes through New Peren Village and Old-Chalkot village, it added. 

Where’s our salary, ANHTU Dimapur asks Education Dept

Dimapur, March 8 (MExN): Maintaining that the Finance Department has signed for the disbursement of salary 'three weeks back,' ANHTU Dimapur Unit asked the School Education Department Nagaland why there is delay in payment of salary to 2012-13 Batch of Hindi teachers. The batch is yet to get their for four months salary - November, December, January and February, informed a press release the All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU) Dimapur Unit. “It’s already three weeks that the Finance Department has signed for the disbursement of salary,” it added. In this connection, the union requested the department to look into the matter at the earliest and disburse the salary of Hindi teachers as ‘they are facing lots of hardship and financial crises.’    

PSU on HSLC, HSSLC exams 

Peren, March 8 (MExN): The Peren Students' Union (N) has extended its best wishes to all the students appearing HSLC and HSSLC Examination 2022 and urged them to work hard and come out with flying colours. The union also appealed to the State’s Power Department to ensure the stable electricity during HSLC and HSSLC examinations.

BJP Nagaland condoles

Dimapur, March 8 (MExN): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland has expressed sadness over the demise of Sumitra Devi Sethi on March 6 in Dimapur. Late Sumitra is the mother of Rajesh Sethi, the Co-Convenor of State Economic Cell, BJP Nagaland. "Priceless is the mother who brought up her children in the way they should go; such children live a life of honesty, humility and simplicity,” stated a condolence note from BJP State President, Temjen Imna Along. “Such traits and values can only be imparted by a noble mother; Such children shall be respected at the city gate, and alongside with it, the legacy lives on.” Conveying its condolences to the bereaved family members, the BJP Nagaland also prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.

700 cases of assorted IMFL recovered

Dimapur, March 8 (MExN): The Dimapur District Excise duty party at Chümoukedima Excise checkgate recovered 700 cases of assorted IMFL on March 7 and has arrested one person in connection with the seizure.  As per  an official release, the recovery was made at around 11 PM on Monday when the duty party on a regular check gate duty intercepted a truck and found the IMFL concealed under a consignment of furniture. Accordingly, one person identified as Ngaopulou (27 years) a resident Phaibung Khullen, under Senapati district of Manipur was arrested, informed the release from Superintendent of Excise & Prohibition, Dimapur Tokuho Assumi. On preliminary inquiry, the accused admitted that the contraband IMFL was loaded at Happy Valley, Meghalaya and was bound for Churachanpur, Manipur, it said, adding that the case is currently under further investigation.  The duty party was led by Allen Jami AIE, TK Medom Lady H/Constable, Khekavi H/constable, and constables Buden,Thejong, Khalenthong, Tsathongli,Thrilise, Wati, and lady constable Sorila.
