
KMC informs on trade licence
Kohima, May 5 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has informed all the concerned business establishments/ institutions within KMC jurisdiction to apply/renew their trade licence for the year 2025- 2026 on or before May 15. Intensive trade licence inspection will be conducted by KMC from May I6 onwards and defaulters will be imposed Rs. 2000 as penalty along with other normal late fines as applicable. This was stated in a release issued by Chief Executive Officer, KMC.
Nagaland to celebrate World Red Cross day
Kohima, May 5 (MExN): The Nagaland State branch of Indian Red Cross Society will be celebrating World Red Cross Day in commemoration of 197th birth anniversary of Red Cross founder Jean Henry Dunant on May 8 at 11:00 AM at the Conference Hall of Red Cross Complex Kohima. The programme will be held on the theme “On the side of Humanity.” Nagaland Governor La Ganesan will grace the occasion as the honoured guest. IRCSN vice chairperson Helena Yepthomi will preside over the function. Welcome address will be delivered by Jonas Yanthan, MC member IRCSN while Dr. R. Rose, MC member, IRCSN will talk on the theme. Secretary General’s message will be presented by Akhale V. Khamo, General Secretary IRCSN. Vote of thanks will be proposed by Dr. Theyiephrezo James Solo, MC member, IRCSN.
NLA committee to meet on May 12
KOHIMA, May 5 (MExN): The Committee on Papers Laid on the Table of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly will convene a meeting on May 12 at 11:00 a.m. in the C. Chongshen Committee Room of the Assembly Secretariat in Kohima. According to a press release issued by the Assembly Secretariat, the meeting has been convened by Tongpang Ozukum, MLA and Chairperson of the Committee. All members of the Committee have been requested to make it convenient to attend the meeting as scheduled.
