AHoDs & HoDs meeting on Nov 15

Kohima, November 14 (MExN): The meeting of the Administrative Heads of Departments and Heads of Departments will be held on November 15 at 2:00 pm in the Secretariat Conference Hall. Statehood preparation, e-office, preparation and work distribution for Hornbill Festival 2023 (Tourism Department), Implementation of centrally sponsored scheme – Monitoring, timely submission of UCs, best practices etc. (All Department implementing CSS) and Updating of Departmental website (IT&C Department) will be the agenda items for the meeting. All AHoDs and HoDs have been informed to make it convenient to attend the meeting positively.  

Kohima police seizes 1073 gms of suspected heroin

Kohima, November 14 (MExN): A team of North PS personnel led by SDPO (North) intercepted one Maruti Swift coming from Manipur bearing Regd. No. NL 01C A 4396 on the NH29 at Sechü (Zubza) on November 13. During search of the vehicle, the team detected and recovered 90 soap cases of suspected heroin weighing approximately 1073 gms. Two occupants of the vehicle have been arrested in this connection, PRO Kohima Police informed in a press release.

NSCN/GPRN (Niki) discharges two functionaries

Dimapur, November 14 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (Niki) has discharged Joint Secretaries Tokato Chophi and Oketo Awomi from active national service with effect from November 14. The MIP of NSCN/GPRN (Niki) in a press release said in a discharge order issued by the Central Secretariat, Inovi Naga, Cabinet Secretary stated that the government deeply appreciates their contribution and service rendered by them for the cause of the Naga political struggle shall ever be remembered and recorded in the annals of the Naga history. “The NSCN/GPRN wishes them all success in life,” it added.

Meeting of Committee on Subordinate Legislation

Kohima, November 14 (MExN): MLA and Chairman of the Committee on Subordinate Legislation, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Dr Sukhato A Sema, has convened a meeting of the Committee on November 20 at 12:00 Noon, in the Committee Room of the Assembly Secretariat. Members of the Committee have been requested to kindly make it convenient to attend the meeting as scheduled.
