No ‘Jhandi Munda’ in Zunheboto during Puja, Diwali

ZUNHEBOTO, OCTOBER 19 (MExN): In the interest of public safety and order, Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali has prohibited dice game/jhandi munda during Durga Puja/Diwali within Zunheboto town. Any person/groups/parties found violating the order will be strictly dealt within or penalized according to relevant section of law, a DIPR report stated.

NPROA annual meet on Oct 25

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 19 (MExN): Members of the Nagaland Police Retired Officers Association (NPROA) including newly retired officers from the rank of Inspector and above has been informed that there will be an annual meeting on October 25 at 11 AM at Central Police Officers Mess, Chümoukedima to discuss matters pertaining to the welfare of the Association.  This is inclusive of members currently residing in other state such as Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya and West Bengal. In this regard, all members are requested to attend the said meeting without fail.

Training for private security personnel under PSARA

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 19 (MExN): In accordance with the Government of Nagaland’s notification dated January 20, 2020, issued by the Home Department (Political Branch), the Central Training Institute, Home Guards’, Civil Defence & State Disaster Response Force, Toluvi, Dimapur has been officially designated as the authorised training centre for providing training to private security personnel under the Private Security Agency Regulation Act, 2005 (PSARA). Accordingly, all private security agencies operating in Nagaland are informed to take note that a list of new recruits who need training in compliance with the PSARA regulations can be submitted on or before November 30 to the Director General, Home Guards’, Civil Defence & State Disaster Response Force, New Capital Complex, Kohima.

NST department informs on tentative seniority list

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 19 (MExN): As per the directives of the Transport Department, Government of Nagaland, a tentative seniority list for employees of the NST Department as of October 2023 has been published. All concerned employees have been instructed to obtain a copy of the tentative list from the Transport Department during regular office hours on all working days, a DIPR report informed.  It stated that any objections or claims regarding the entries in the list should be formally submitted through a representation accompanied by documentary evidence, a contact phone number, and the current place of posting to the Secretary, Transport Department, Nagaland. All representations are to be submitted within 30 days from the date of issuance of the memorandum. If no representation is received within the stipulated time frame, the tentative seniority list will be deemed as ‘Final,’ the report added.

PHH, AAY beneficiaries under Dimapur, Niuland and Chümoukedima informed

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 19 (MExN): The Department of Food & Civil Supplies, Dimapur has informed all the PHH and AAY beneficiaries under Dimapur, Niuland and Chümoukedima District that e-KYC campaign is scheduled from October 1, 2023 to February 29, 2024.  Therefore, to ensure that the seeded Aadhaar number are correct and of the same person, the beneficiaries have been notified to validate the seeded Aadhaar of their ration cards details (i.e. all the names listed in the ration cards) for authentication from their respective Fair Price Shop during the campaign, a circular issued by Assistant Director, Food & Civil Supplies, Dimapur informed.  Furthermore, all the rural/urban FPS under the above mention districts has been directed to comply with the Ministry’s directive and complete the exercise within the stipulated period i.e. February 29, 2024.

Social Welfare Dept inspects ICDS-Project in Pfutsero

Pfütsero, October 19 (MExN): The official tour and inspection of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Project, Pfütsero from the Directorate of Social Welfare was held from October 17-18. Asangla Jamir, Assistant Director & Nodal Officer Poshan Abhiyaan led inspection team comprising of Moamenla, CDPO, ICDS-Pfutsero;  Vekhayi Ruho, Supervisor, ICDS-Pfutsero; and NyitsoTherie, Supervisor, ICDS-Pfutsero. During the tour and inspection, 62 Anganwadi centres in 13 villages and 3 towns were covered, informed a press release from the department.  Functioning of Anganwadi centres as well as performance of workers and helpers, uploading of activities in the Poshan Tracker, mobile number and Aadhaar verification of eligible beneficiaries etc were also carried out during the inspection.   During meeting and interaction with Anganwadi workers and helpers along with village functionaries, their roles and were also discussed. The visiting Nodal Officer from the Directorate also inspected CDPO Office in Pfutsero and held meeting with the officer and staff.
