
NNC President TS Keyho clarifies
Dimapur, October 5 (MExN): Responding to the news item “TS Keyho rejects ‘election, backs Thinoselie Keyho” published in local dailies on October 3, Naga National Council (NNC) President, TS Keyho has clarified the news item as “completely false and had nothing to do with me.” Keyho stated that “The statement was rather manufactured with an intention to hamper his new role as NNC president as has been resolved during a joint meeting held at Khulazu Basa on September 23. “Henceforth, I would like to clarify that I stand by the house decision (Tatar Hoho, FGN and NNC executive joint meeting) which was taken through voice vote to unanimously resolved to withdraw support to NNC president Thinoselie Keyho's leadership,” he reiterated.
FGN directs Midan Peyus
Dimapur, October 5 (MExN): All Midan Peyus, Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) who have not yet submitted the Atrocity Reports and list of Naga National Martyrs during the stipulated time are directed to positively submit the Atrocity Reports and list of Martyrs on or before March 25, 2024 to the Ministry of Rali Wali, Federal Government of Nagaland. Capt (Retd) Yirei Lungleng Rail Wail Kilonser, FGN in a press release stated that this directive was issued in consultation with the Council of Kilonsers, FGN on October 2.
NPCC concerned over delay in release of teachers salaries
Dimapur, October 5 (MExN): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) today expressed concerned over the ongoing tussle between the Department of School Education and All Nagaland School Teachers' Association (ANSTA), over the issue of delay in release of salaries of the teachers employed under the establishment of the said department. The NPCC Communications Department in a press release said “it is deplorable to note that the concerned Department has made it a habit of delaying the salaries of our teachers without any justifiable reason.” “We strongly condemn the abject incompetence and governance deficit of the concerned department and the government of the day, and demand that the pending salaries of our teachers are immediately released, with an express undertaking assuring that no such delays will occur in the future,” NPCC stated. “We also want to make it clear that we totally stand behind our aggrieved teachers in this just cause of theirs and consider this injustice against them as nothing less than a full scale assault on the rights and future of our Children,” it cautioned.
